Have you tested the acceleration times now? Like just estimate your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times with a stop watch?

0-60mph - 5.8 sec


1/4 mi - 10.9

I did this with a buddy of mine, he timed me while I drove.

However, I kinda think you might have the 1/4 mile time off a bit - you're talking viper time there... Actually, I don't even think a Viper could touch that...

Its possible, as I said my buddy and I were just messing around with a stop watch.

Dude, the 0-60 is AWESOME, and totally believable. . .do the tires hook up well enough with all that torque?

A 10 second quarter mile would mean the 4RUnner is trapping at 122mph, which I don't even is on our speedometer. . .

Yes, I think the 0-60 times are very close to accurate - if not even less - due to human reaction time of stopping the stop watch. If Biff beat a FX45 - he'd have to be doing sub 6 second 0-60.

Biff - you're my hero! Just a bit more tweaking - you'll be humiliating even the quick & ugly Cayanne Turbo!

Eddie & Biff, does the supercharger affect your gas mileage in normal driving? I know that my lead foot will cause me to become a best customer at my neighborhood gas station, however it is the cross country freeway driving I wonder about.

Also, again in normal driving, does the supercharger make a noise that intrudes in the passenger cabin? I love the whine a blown engine as much as the next guy, but a constant low RPM whine would get under my skin after a 1000 mile day on the road.

I am really interested in a supercharger for two unemotional reasons, and one BIG emotional one. 1) Towing a trailer in the mountains & 2) Passing with a trailer, then 3) The typical male need to occasionally blow by some SOB with an unexpected burst of acceleration.

Normal driving (non boost) will not be affect. My driving is pretty conservatie:angel: avg about 16-17mpg (non boost) when I punch it I bring that down to 13-15 mpg.

As far as the whine is concerened you will only hear it when you engage the boost. When normal driving the engine sounds stock.

If you mean RPM, you will only hear the whine when you engage the supercharger, for me the whine is most noticeable in the lower RPM range.

When you do stomp on it the s/c kicks in and the whine is most apparent in the low RPM range.

Yes you have that right, You'll only hear it when its boosting, when you have your foot on it hard. Everything you said is exactly right. Under normal driving you dont hear it, and your not lowering your gas milage.
