Pictures of your HIDs

i just bought a 2004 black 4runner =) LOVE THIS CAR and i want HIDs for the low beams and fog lights.
can you guys show me pictures of your HID setup.
im thinking of doing the 9006 bulbs 6k for the low beams and i think its also the 9006 bulbs 6k for the fog lights. or i might do that 8k for low beams and 6k for fog lights. what do you guys think?

Getting HIDs in a non-projector housing like your 04 is a bad idea as you will get flashed and the housing itself is not meant to direct the light.

6000K for headlights 3000K for Fogs I can never switch back now haha. But one thing I need to do is install a relay with it...it flickers a bit

Completely agree. The headlights were specifically designed for the halogen bulbs. Switching to HID is a terrible idea unless you are going to do a proper retrofit.

Also, if you do a retrofit, and are interested in the most available light output, then go with 4300 (or 5k if you want a hint of blue). The farther you deviate from that, the less light is actually being projected.

would it be ugly doing halogen bulb for the low beams and hid's 6k for the fog lights since they are projectors?

This is before I put in the 3K HID Fog Lights. Still haven't got a pic of that but those factory fog light projectors are awesome at spraying light evenly out and everywhere.

WHich gap are you talking about? The one under the headlight, or the triangle grill gap? All I originally purchased was the headlights on ebay, OEM. And then I bought the filler panels on partznet and I want to say they were around 60 each, and the wire harness which was 25 ea. This created a small triangle gap where the headlight meets the grill. The gap looked like it belonged there, and to me it looked great. If you do buy the the filler panels make sure you buy the little clips that secure them to the body, because the 03-05 clips are different.

I then purchased the 06 grill because I like that style grill more than the 04. That was a PITA, and I'm not sure I'd do it again. I had to do some cutting on the bumper and the grill required heavy cutting with a dremel.

There's a thread on here, I think by a guy named mlopez, that has all the part numbers listed, except for the clips. Just ask partnetz or the dealer for those.
