Here is another option for everyone:

I'm planning on running 275/70/17 BFG TA KOs, then for a spare run a 255/75/17 BFG KM1 off of a Jeep. That should tuck nicely up in the spare spot and have a perfect height to match the 275's.

I think [MENTION=93894]J-BlickPhoto[/MENTION] has KDDS, but maybe you can PM him to confirm. His signature says 285's.

Well, so far I've been trying to source one BFG KM2 255/80/17 with no avail. Both Les Schwab and Discount Tire say they are completely unavailable in their systems. If anyone has some tips on any I'd appreciate it. I will continue to try online. :hatsoff:

craigslist. i found a used one with 70% tread for $60 installed

Thats a great deal. A local tire shop says the can source a new KM2 in this size for $382, plus $36 shipping, and $14 for mount and balance. Will NOT be going there lol. Another shop, total with install $278....much better. Still hunting for used however.

Update. I know some of you were looking for confirmation that a 255/80R17 spare tire would fit in a KDSS equipped TE. I finally sourced a BFG KM2 tire in this size. Brand new mounted out the door for $278 at Discount Tire. It just fits.Here is a quick phone pic.
