015.JPGhere are some pictures of my bumpers,grill,and chrome strip on flares all sprayed with plasti-dip what do u guys think

I just cleaned them and wiped them down with xylol taped everything off and sprayed them.Yes it will peel back off and go right back to chrome.I did a sample on a chrome thermostat housing before i did the bumpers after it dried i peeled it off just to see how well it would come off.The one thing i don't know is how durable it is i guess only time will tell i will keep you posted.
 
lookin good. this HAS to be done for me! got a can of plasti dip still from center console. how many cans did u use?
 
I did the same thing to the PLASTIC parts of my bumpers and it looks great. To the OP, it will look lots better if you do that too so then they will match your bumpers. PLUS, it makes them look new. :trophy:

I am glad you put this on the chrome...I will be doing the same thing this weekend...just waiting on someone to put it on the chrome.

My plastic parts (front grill, bumper, rear bumper, mudguards, and running boards..even chrome on the running boards) have been holding up great.

bak3rme i used two and a half cans i put two fairly heavy coats i didnt want to do to many cause im not sure how well it will hold up but so far so good. piperoo thanks for the input i realized after i pulled the tape and masking paper off that i should do the plastic parts on the bumpers but was unsure how well it would do on the plastic it did do well on my grill so i guess i should get out in the garage and finish it up .Thanks for the replies

Can you post a pic of the rear bumper with the plastic part Plastidipped too please?

Wondering how it turned out might be doing the same to my runner!

If you're painting plastic parts that you are covering due to weathering why waste time with plasti-dip instead of proper painting? Unless you want to go back to the dry weathered look but I wouldn't think so. I painted my flares and will be doing the plastic windshield cowl and lower valence this spring but with my flares after a good solid wet winter they are holding up great 7 months later.

I did plasti-dip my lettering and that's holding up well also but I plan on a redo with a few more coats in a couple of months.

What kind of paint did you use on your flares? I remember seeing a pic of them a while back and they looked great!
