Yeah, Plasti-Dip does not edge well by itself. I used an Exacto knife to trim before I pulled the tape. It came out nice and crisp.

Yeah, that first picture is just after the first coat I put on, before it had dried. I let each coat dry for no less than 30 minutes, and put 3 coats on total. When you paint it on, it looks really goopy and gross. But it dries really crisp and pretty.

I actually didn't have any problem with it. The only things I can think of is that you're pulling the tape off too soon, or you're not using the right kind of tape.

I waited about an hour after I was sure it was dry to peel off the tape. It didn't pull at all and the lines were really clean. Be sure you're using a quality blue painter's tape. You can get 3M or Scotch anywhere. But again, this is my first time working with Plasti Dip, that's just general knowledge for any kind of painting.

For sure! I've been itching to pull the DSLR out lately anyway, been too busy. I'd be happy to e mail any of the good ones we take this weekend too.
 
Looks great!! Please keep us updated with its durability. I have the grey cladding and I am debating painting it with Plastidip or Krylon Fusion.
 
How is this holding up? I know some of the parts that I have plasti-dipped are getting some chips in them.
 
I just plasti-dipped my front grill and no chips so far. However it's only been a few days. I'll probably post a DIY if anyone's interested. Not a huge mod but it was fun and I have fallen in LOVE with plasti-dip. I want to spray everything I can find.

ThirstyTurtle on here did is grille a few months back. It is far more resistant to chips than his painted grill was. It also depends on how many coats you put on.

I put 5 or 6 on mine. I'll keep you posted on how it holds up as well.

How's your highlander treating you? That's what the guy called it at the tire shop, remember? With that car-like ride height I could see someone confusing the two.
