Plasti dipping suggestions for rear emblems/license plate holder?

So I have a 1998 SR5 that has the '4Runner' logo in the license plate holder...

What should I do if I want to plasti dip my emblems? If I do black, it won't look so good, since the '4Runner' part will be black on black?

(I want to plastidip since my emblems are peeling and messed up.)

Suggestions?

For a clarification of what it looks like, see attachment below...

ALSO: I'm not sure what black on white will look like, since I like the gold scheme, even though it seems a bit weird... Can't really think of any other colors... Thoughts?

I have the same emblem setup, except mine were silver. I plastidipped all of the emblems on my back hatch about a year ago, and it turned out good IMO and has held up great. About the 4Runner logo in the middle...I was a little concerned about that as well, but there should be enough color difference for the plastidip to show up against the dark background.

Edit: Here's a (not so good) pic from a couple of weeks ago on a ride. Forgive the crazy lean and the mud spots everywhere...this was the first pic I came across. I'll try to get another today & post back up.

EDIT: It doesn't look as different as I thought it might... I thought it would look bad, but it doesn't... It looks like you're trying to go into 'stealth' mode or something, by plastidipping it black

If I ever change my mind, I can always take off the plasti-dip, right?

Ya you can definitely peel it off. And whatever doesn't peel off, you can just scrub at with the green side of a sponge.

I recently had a tire shop fix my tire (ran over a bolt on the freeway), and they apologized for scratching my black rims. I told them not to worry about it, I'd just peel it off and re-do it. And I did, it's back to normal.

My biggest issue is that the '4Runner' part is in the license plate holder, so if I black it out, it might look weird... But since Plasti Dip is easy to peel off, I might give it a shot.

i know this isnt white but. just got finished tonight. i dipped my entire license plate bracket.

Farmerjon, are you really a farmer?? Because we only have ranches in WY:cowboy:

I say paint the liscense holder gunmetal gray, and then paint the emplems black. Although I wouldnt use plastidip personally. Ive used it before and am not a huge fan. I would sand then down, and then do the whole ordeal - several layers of primer, paint, and clear coat. Just to make it look professional.

Thanks for the tips, that's actually a great idea to paint it gunmetal gray, that's one of my all time favorite colors on a 3rd gen... Will definitely keep that in mind as a possiblity!
