Hi.I want to put new tires on my 06 t4r s/e v8 and dont know what is the maximum size i can go with without lifting or trimming anything on 17" or 18" wheels.i want to go with all terrain tires so they would be wider than stock tires and had good performance in snow ,rain,dry road,highway.

If you look at the top of this page (4th Gen) there is a sticky with ALL the info you need regarding wheel/tire/lift sizes and maximum amount of clearance you will have or tire size you can fit with/without any lift. Take a look at that first, it should help tremendously.

Without ANY trimming, 265/70/17 or 265/65/18 is your best bet on stock wheels. These will be taller, but not wider. If you go with aftermarket wheels that have a greater offset than stock (most will), you'll need some minor trimming. With a small level kit and just a little effort, you could fit 275/70/17 or 275/65/18. These would be taller and wider.

Hey ARK, not to beat the "search" dead-horse, but I just noticed this and had to ask: I just put 275/65/17 on my truck today. I didn't notice any issues, but it's a straight-forward, highway drive home...without major turning. I'm good, right?

At most with that setup with stock wheels and no spacers you'll just need to move the fender liner forward. With 1.5" front lift and my 255s, I got slight rubbing but only occasionally. You'll be fine, you'll notice if its rubbing. If it is, just move the fender liner forward and that should take care of it.

I'll say this as well. With a thread like this, I always plan for the worst. Every setup is different, so there is not a definite answer to these types of questions.

I got the 255/75/17 (32X10) BFG Mud T/A's. I get a very small amount of rub at a hard turn or reverse hard turn on the pass side mainly but it's pretty minor. And no lift with 75k miles on the suspension. I have had a few guys think it's got a inch lift in there, but I thinks its the mud's.:biggrin2:

will 285/65/18 fit on xd rockstar wheel fit with eather/both spacer/lift.by how much will i have to lift/space?
