Can some of you guys post quick pictures of the view from the drivers seat over the dash towards the windshield wipers please.
Reason being, I just picked up my truck from the dealership and on the way home I noticed that my driver side windshield wiper does not lay flat like the passenger side does.
I passed it off as me being nuts and tried to forget about it, but it bugged me so much I swear it has been bent.
(I do have a picture which I will upload tomorrow but my phone is off and downstairs and I'm too lazy to get out of bed).

Dark right now and my truck doesn't stay in the garage, I'll get one early tomorrow morning if no one has gotten you one yet. From my profile avatar thing, you can see it sits pretty flat if that helps at all.

You might have to just unbolt it, pull it off of the splines, and reposition it so it lays flat. Does it swing way up close to the A-pillar?

I tried to get some pictures from the driver's seat and looking out, but it didn't really show anything. Hopefully the pictures will be better tomorrow in the sunlight.

My wipers are alligned with each other and sit 1/2 - 3/4" below the black "surround" on the windshield. Cell phone pic attached.

It almost looks like the hook part where the wiper attaches to the arm is either bent or binding somehow and not allowing the wiper to lay flat. The part I am talking about is circled in red. What I would do is try to take off the wiper and see if the hook's loop is still a perfect "U" shape. Also see if it can pivot around at that point freely...

This is how my wiper sits...you see how the arm and the wiper attach at that angle? Compare it to yours and see if it's about the same or not...from your picture it seems like the issue might be there.

looks like they are out of wack for sure, I remember vividly now that they were straight as when I bought the car I thought it was cool how the blades lay on the heating element in the windshield.
Time to take it back to the shop and get them to fix it.

It takes about 20 seconds to fix that.

Pop the plastic cap off the bottom of the arm, loosen the nut, spin the wiper into position and tighten the nut.

The arms are held in place with a tapered shaft and friction. You don't need to remove them completely to adjust.

I see Antman's already told you how to adjust your wipers but here's photos of mine just to give you another look. As with others who have posted pics, my wipers are level and in the black area of the windshield.

10-4 good buddy, will get on that as soon as I have washed the dogs, cleaned the litter box, adjusted the pool pump timer, changed the irrigation watering times, mount some stuff in the kitchen for the ball and chain and errrr something else.........Oh yeah change my schedule so I don't have the same day off as the Mrs.:doh:

Oh yeah can you tell me what size socket to use just so O don't have to go back and forth to my tool box.....:tape:

I hate to be stubborn, but I still think something is bent...look at your angle of the driver side wiper compared to the passenger side wiper; if you adjust the arm to rotate to an even lower point, the driver's side edge of the wiper will hit the cowl, if that makes sense?

I think what Antman was saying it to adjust both of them until they are straight, like he said it's a 20sec job so it's worth a try, I dunno how they ended up getting bent from the dealership???

I think what antman is saying is to loosen the wiper arm and adjust the rotation? Ie. if you're looking at the windshield from the front of the vehicle (like in your pictures), make the arm rotate counter clockwise a bit so that the overall stroke starts at a lower point.

It can easily get bent at the dealership if they have the arms up and drop it down the window the wrong way, or if it gets snagged on something?

I hope you don't mind I drew on your pictures about what I am trying to say...

If you look at the first picture, you see the angle is way off compared to the passenger side? The angle should be more like the yellow like with respect to the arm.

And the second picture, you see the part that I circled? If you lower the arm so that the left edge of the wiper stops below the black windshield border, the right corner will go way past the cowl which is not normal.

Eddie you may be right,
The first picture clearly show that the drivers wiper is out of wack, when I unbolted it and moved the arm down the leading edge touching the bottom of the windshield was actually off the windshield.
The second picture where my finger is pointing is where I think it has been bent.
I just got off with the service manager and I'm going in on Thursday for him to have a look at them.

Glad you figured it out, see if you can convince them to give you a new arm instead of just bending it back into the right angle. The paranoid side of me would hate to have that piece snap from too much bending back and forth. Of course it's not exactly a high stress item either, so bending it back would probably suffice, lol.

Yeah thanks Eddie, already text him he's replacing it on Thur......what probably happened is they washed it (against my will) and I'm guessing the arm got caught in the washer (it's not a touch less one).

IIRC there is an small orange line in the center of the windshield where the wiper is supposed to sit - alignment aid
