The dongle does not alter the normal operation of the truck. The rear camera will still show on the screen when the truck is in reverse as it should.

My camera dongle arrived today. That was fast!
It looks great.
Waiting on AOB to return switches back to the website in blue.
Will give feedback once installed!
Got mine today as well.. Very fast! Now I need a break to install it!

It does not come with the camera switch, you would have to source one. Any SPST switch will work. I do not offer a switch only because i know everyone likes to run their own setup. If i was able to cut a deal with AOB for their switches that would be the best route though probably.

Glad to hear you received them. Let me know if you have any questions on the install. Once you take the nav unit out you will be a prob at it (it is pretty easy and i can have mine out in 5 minutes now that i have done it 100000 times.)
On a side note, Website has been updated. Aux video devices should be ready very soon.

The wire is not connected because you will probably want to cut it depending on where you locate your switch and also having the break in the wire close to the nav unit makes it easier to remove it if you chose to.
For the factory look i would recommend an Air on Board switch. other than that, any SPST switch will work.

I would have preferred that the wire be one length, but since it isn't, what type of connector do you recommend?
Spade terminals, butt splice, or maybe you can recommend something that would facilitate easy disconnection for removal.

Got the website updated in preparation for the future.. I should have the pictures up within the next couple days and should be ready to ship within a week.
Whatever your preference is. You don't NEED to be able to remove it from the vehicle. I just noticed it was a problem when i was testing and prototyping because i had mine out a few times and had to cut the wires a couple of times. Maybe i should just connect the wires when i ship, but i like to leave people with options.
Easiest removable connection is probably spade or bullet terminals. Or maybe a 2 position connector from radio shack or electronics supply place if you want the connections together.

Mine arrived, too. I was also surprised that the switch wire was not connected, but then I went back through the thread, and you said you were sending it separate. I just didn't notice that before.
No big deal, I've got a soldering iron and will just connect them and add heat shrink. Not quite plug and play, but a whole lot better than me trying to put in all those wires!
