I’m stuck. I’m trying to connect my switches to the anytime back up camera. It’s a push switch with 4 wires. BLUE-connect from your source with a inline fuse.GREEN connect to your relay or accessories.YELLOW connects to dash light circuit-I’m gonna tap into the cig lighter. BLACK ground. My question is what do I connect the blue and green wires to.

All my wires are connected correctly (I think) and can’t get there front camera to come on. What could it be. From my previous post I have the yellow wire tapped into the cig. The black is grounded. Leaves me the blue and the green wires. I’m able to override and click for the back camera but can’t get the front to come on.
Both of the buttons work but only able to see the back camera.
The harness has a black and red don the know what to connect at this point?
What else could Be wrong that the front camera don’t come on?

This is directly from the guy that sells the harness.
BLUE = Long wire from harness
GREEN = short wire from harness.
That alone will allow the camera to work. Nothing else needed.
Then, if you want illumination on the switch.
YELLOW = Typically a --green-- wire in our existing switches.
BLACK = Typically a --gray-- wire in our existing switches.
IOW, if you look at the back of say the wiper defrosters or some other switch you will see a green and gray wire... so you would connect -your- YELLOW and BLACK respectively.
Now you have SWITCH ON/OFF --AND-- LIGHT.

Thanks for the reply. I got that far. Now my problem is the front camera won’t come on. I don’t think there is power getting to it. So there was 2 sets of wires. One was the rca with short red wires. That was obvious to connect. And I left the red ones blank. Then there is the camera wire that has a black and a red. I connected the red to my constant grill lights that I have installed and the black is the ground. Does that sound right?

Ok, I didn't realize you got the two camera version.
I don't have that and honestly his -narrative schematics- leave a bit to be desired. Not knocking him or the devices, but it get's a bit confusing to follow, when a simple schematic would clear up a lot.

Again, not sure but if you are "leaving something blank" that doesn't -seem- right. Could be.... but.
I think you should just drop him an email. He returned my emails within a day I think it was. Either that or look back through his vids and maybe it's covered. But I don;t have that dual setup and I know it's possible to get it wrong to the point it would need to be replaced. So I would not want to say.

You see how he attached little pigtails to the video harness yellow connector. THEN... he crimps connectors and connects those red wires. Well that's how he is getting 12v to power his camera.
I -think- you are -not- supplying 12v to power your camera. so you have the video signal connected but have no video signal because the camera has never turned on due to lack of power.

You are the man. That second video was so helpful and that’s the clarification I needed. And of course the camera I bought had no directions but there all the same essentially. Thanks again.

Got my aob switches finally so I installed my dongle. Super disappointed with the switches. The light on the switches are really uneven with portions of the switch dark and some dim. Also I wired both switches the same. Used the windshield wiper switch for both new switches (backup camera and nav override) I Put the blue aob wire to the green wire on the stock switch and he black aob wire to the grey wire on the stock switch. Now the camera switch always has a light on and gets brighter when pressed and the nav override switch is illuminated when off (and is dim compared to the camera switch) and light goes out when pressed. I tried switching the dongle wires on the nav override switch but when I do that the light never comes on. Don't know what the deal is here. Oh well it's done and at least they work.

To any/all: I've installed this and it's non functional. OEM functions work but adding a switch does not. What am I missing? I've tried everything I can think of to trouble shoot my AOB switches, using a second switch, even pulling the radio and connecting the long/short wire directly. No dice.

Hi - can you attach a wiring diagram so we can see how you have made your connections.

That's not enough information. It's been a while since I've installed mine and I think my harnesses are v1. However let me see if I can help you troubleshoot.
Let me first ask specific questions:
1) Which kit are you using? A) The "View backup camera any time" or B) the full kit that adds an auxiliary camera?
2) If A), when you say nothing happens can you elaborate? Does the rear camera show when in reverse but it doesn't show when you are in Park?
3A) If B), are you using two switches?
3B) If B), how are you providing power to your camera and power to your switch?
A) only requires a single pole switch and no 12V power source
B) requires two single pole switches or one dual pole switch. One of the switch needs a 12V source as does your camera.

2) When in [R] camera shows. when closing the loop (with AOB switch, or just connecting the two wires) nothing happens. so OEM functionality is preserved, but the function improvement of "anytime" is not achieved.
Hmm, I scanned this thread to see if I could find any issue like you are having. As you thought, just touching the two wires should have activated the override. There was a post a few pages back where HerT4R had the same problem. In this post it seems that Brian had to send a new harness. I'm surprised Brian hasn't jumped in yet, he's usually very responsive. He may be traveling. I have his email address and I will send him an email to let him know you're having issues.
The only think I can recommend is to completely remove then reinstall the harness to make sure everything is seated correctly. It's a simple harness so there's not much more to it.
Sorry I can't be more of a help. I'm sure you are very frustrated. Please post back once Brian gets back to you and you get it all working.
