Poly vs Aluminum Spacers

Toytec offers a 1/4" aluminum spacer for $22.99 and Wheelers Offroad offers a 1/4" poly spacer for $7.50.

Question -- why do I not see more people opting for the poly spacer? Seems to me that it would serve the same function at 1/3 the price????

It's interesting that Toytec estimates a 1/2" lift while WO estimates 3/8".

Do realize that wheelers just released these poly ones recently.
