Poor Fuel Economy?

On my summer to trip to cali from texas, I'm getting 20.4 while going about 80-85 leading to about 340/tank, in town mixed driving it will get 300 but yeah the guage is disproportionate between first and second halves, woohoo! :banana:

i always get around 280 when the light comes on and fills up about 15 gallons. i always fill up when the light comes on, dont wanna risk damaging my fuel pump.

So, I bought a new gas cap, new wires, new plugs, changed tranny and diff fluids, and......same gas mileage but she definitely is running stronger and very smooth. I think I truly forgot just how bad my mileage was in my 2004 Taco cause I really didn't care but I just loved my truck. Same with the 4Runner more or less. I am getting right at 300 miles per tank with a light foot. It's reliable and I can haul around my gym equipment I am happy. Allows me to keep the wife happy with an inexpensive vehicle and still have my ZR-1.
