Poor Man's Satoshi

AKA Black Plastidip

Once I figured out that the Satoshi Grille Looks best on the 06 and up 4th gens, I had to try some plastidip instead. I like the result, but I'm glad it is just plastidip. It was easy to do (although I did a lot of coats) and reversible. It wasn't worth me removing and repainting as there are cracks on both upper and lower pieces I dipped. I posted this because I feel like I usually just see the grilles blacked out.

I don't think I'll do my wheels. Probably just the emblems. The kids love peeling off the plastidip when I'm done, too.

My inspiration was this TRD Pro.

Thanks for sharing. I have been considering doing the same thing including that lower portion so it's good to see how it would look. Only difference is I have the grey cladding and black headlights.

Here is my grill that I recently dipped. I like the black much better than the chrome.

I may end up doing the lower section just to see how it turns out. For the front emblem I am thinking a body color matched piece behind it. It would match the rear that way.

That's how mine started. The lower section would really balance that out nice!

I like how you just did the horizontal "bar".

Overall looks really sharp. Blacking it out just looks more aggressive in my opinion.

Great license plate btw! Didn't even notice that at first.
