Possible issues on a 2005 4R from NY?

You already mentioned rust.
A few other things I did research and put on my list to check thanks to this forum, aside from all the other numerous used car checklist stuff:
1) 4wd actuator works and doesn't beep at you.
2) Leaky struts (specially if xreas).
3) Torn CV boots.
4) Upper and lower ball joints.
5) Any burnt out interior and exterior bulbs. HVAC display and control bulbs seem to be common.
6) Seized brake calipers.
7) Leaky headers if V8.
8) Oil leaks around timing cover if V6.
9) Milkshake in radiator and oil cap if V6.
10) Rear window operated as it should.
11) Spare tire mechanism isn't rusted and inoperable.
I'm sure others have more pointers to throw in. These are old trucks, but in good shape if maintained. It all comes down to what you are mechanically inclined to fix and tolerate.

Nevermind. I've been texting with the dude since posting this and he's so sketchy. The truck lived in NY until three weeks ago. He is back in NY now, 4th owner, truck is with his cousin in LA. He deleted the post but says he didn't. Then, when I asked him to repost it so I could look at the photos again, I get a text with a very pixely, thumbnail-sized photo of a 4runner with two white men in golf clothes posing in front of it and he said, "go check your mail again..i sent a photo of me my friend and the vehicle" and says, "no i dont need to post...im gonna see various buyers wanting to buy"
