Alright folks!

Victor's thread has inspired me.....well more like...got me a little nostalgic! How about you guys post a pic of your first ride??!!

I don't have a good quality pic of my first car, but here's a Eurosport model:

It's a 1989 Chevy Celebrity Eurosport 2.8L V6. Mine was not a Eurosport, but the only real difference on the exterior where the wheels and the color matched bumpers...mine were chrome. I got Eurosport wheels from an 87 and painted them out. Aside from that, the interior was pretty plain on my model, it Cruise Control, and AM / FM radio. (I installed a Tapedeck in it later....lol...for all you 16yr olds...yes I'm old) I had grey cloth interior with front and rear bench seats. The biggest mod i did, was the body work. It was passed down to me by my dad with 292000km on it, and was rotted everywhere. A bodyman friend of my dads helped me paint the entire car for $200.00! The car went from a Maroon color, to black, and I later added a huge White Chevy Bowtie in the back window, with a custom white "Chevrolet" decal on the truck lid that was printed in Cursive writing.

BTW, bottom left is a 1987 Pontiac Grand Am that I bought for $2500.00. Top right was an 87 Pontiac 6000LE that I bought after returning the GrandAM....it was junk! Bottom right, was a Salvaged 95 Chevy Monte Carlo LS I bought for $6800.00...it looked fast....but wasn't lol!

I later bought this rig...my First truck / SUV...Top one...87 Nissa Pathfinder 2dr (winter beater so I could store the Monte)

I bought the Pathfinder for $1000.00, drove it for 6months....blew the transmission, and sold it for $1000.00!

After that, I fell in love with trucks...and later bought my 4Runner.....above is a pic of it over 5 years ago....my wife and I's Honeymoon......

It's a 1989 Chevy Celebrity Eurosport 2.8L V6.

My first car as a 16-year-old (in 1987) was a 1979 Chevy Malibu Classic, white with a baby blue interior. In 1992, the Malibu died and I came into a 1986 Chevy Celebrity, gold with a tan interior. Man, I loved that car. Seeing your Eurosport brought back some great memories. Sad thing is, I don't think I have any pictures of them anywhere. I was never really a camera/picture kind of guy when I was younger.

My first ride was a 78 Trans Am. Bought it when I was 14 in primer with no motor or trans. Dropped a 350 in it with a Muncie 4 Speed. Turned 16 and sold it because it still wasn't really road worthy.

Speaking of Chevy Celebrity's, my buddy had one when we were 16, powder blue. We were in it, super hot girl walking down the street, were both staring at her and he rear ended the car in front of us. Nobody got hurt and the guy in front of us had no damage so he was cool about it, he said he was watching her in his mirror. Made for a good story.

Here is mine: 1968 Pontiac LeMans. Luxury version of the famous GTO. Mine was 'only'a 350 V8. It was white with red leather interior and was known as the "White Flash". Handled like a pig but was a joy to drive--in a straight line. My only automatic car because I didn't buy it; I inherited it when my father passed in 1971. Made me famous in a small town for passing Rubber-Ass Eddie Barnard (local redneck)'s Duster at 103 mph on the S-curve on a remote Florida road one late night in 1971.

I still believe this is one of the prettiest cars ever made--and specifically this year. They effed it up in '69, and '67 was not quite as clean. Sorry, no digital pics of the Flash exist.

94 T-100. Mine was Forest Green or as my friends called it... chick repellent. Life was sad back then, but the donuts were incredible. We drove this thing like a baja pre-runner...daily. Modifications included cloth bench seat, manual windows and cassette player with walkman attachment. I ripped off the front bumper stealing a gigantic deer crossing sign, and a buddy with a ford probe got rear-ended shortly after (spearate incident). We met at a stop light he in reverse and I in drive, cars touching we poured on the throttle. 4 wheels smoking, people staring in disbelief I pushed the mighty probe into the green intersection the victor! (safety first) still makes me laugh.

My first truck was a '91 F150 'Nite Edition' (pre-lightning). Fully built 5.0, full DJM suspension, etc.

And ended like this:

Then I got this. '94 Bronco. Pretty basic. Leveling kit, 35's, trainhorns, locker in the rear, etc.:

next one was my first yota. straight axle. 35s. had a chevy 350. spools front and rear, full roll cage. bad a$$ truck..

then onto this right before i joined the military. '89 f150. SAS D44, 9" rear. 38 15.5 on 20" rims. this whole truck was custom.

my first car was a 1989 toyota camery all trac that my grand mother gave(yes free) me after dumping about $2300+ into maintenance to get it into tip top shape.


but i always wanted a 1985 toyota pick up so three weeks later i traded a guy my dad worked with strait across for my dream truck, still have it to this day


then when i blew the second motor in this i took a hiatus from the 4wd world and toyota world and go this

it was fast in a straight line and had more than enough power the car was scary in snow or ice


yes that black line on the pavement is rubber spray from the tires

thats what remains(ed) of the tire it was a z rate good year, i think doing stuff like that is what killed that car, i blew the motor in it. but thats ok i can now put in a crate 358 nascar motor

then it was back to the white 85 pick up(little moo, or baby truck), till i blew the front end and now it just sits out in a barn in eastern oregon waiting for me to come get it and start working on it. after this was the other 85 pick up, ol red.

then came the 97 4runner after deployment and finding out our second child was on the way...

Not a picture of mine, but identical to this one.
1971 MGB. I got it when I was 15, helped repaint and then it survived nearly 3 years of daily driving year-round, at least 60 miles/day. Sun or snow, didn't matter. Tools in the trunk were a requirement. There were several young & dumb driving situations I can recall where I might not be around to make this post. Thank God it was a pretty good road handling unit.

Surprisingly, it was never wrecked considering the driver. The cam & lifters finally gave out.

I beat the living crap out of that thing... Ah, the memories!

1st vehicle was a 91 Chevy Lumina with 98hp! Rode like a boat


2nd vehicle was a 98 Ford Taurus. It did well for me. Had 200hp. I sold it with 171k miles. It was in need of some near future engine work.


And my current vehicle. "Jitters", the 98 SR5 with 177K miles, and just gettin warmed up! :bravo:
