It is very tempting when you have quality stuff laying in your garage and you have to walk by them couple of times a day.
Alright, picked it up last night after getting the shocks put on. Happy with it, except for the alignment. Little pissed about that. Steering wheel not centered, and it's tracking to the right. Don't really have the time to be taking it back to deal with this. Here are some comparison pics below. Need to get better pics on a true level surface, cause it's not really as nose high as it seems in the pic below.

Well after 3 years and 52000 miles I finally bought a suspension and new tires. Let me know if you want some different pics or some measurements. I meant to take before pics but I had some family come down unexpectedly last weekend and I did not get around to it.

Trucks looks great, what offset did you go with on the MK6? I'm torn between 0 and -12mm....

So I posted earlier how I wasn't really happy with the alignment done after getting my shocks installed. Now I'm noticing that it seems like my truck is leaning more than normal. I know there is going to be some with the driver/gas tank, but it seems like more than before shocks were installed. Measures at roughly an inch difference. Could this happen from the shock install? Or am I just paranoid now thinking they did a poor job all around? And gas tank is only a quarter full now.
Konig Countersteer
I notice that almost everyone that is running Konig Countersteers and Six Shooters are not running center caps. Is this because they are not available, or they just don't look right. Or are they there and I am just not seeing them. I am thinking about getting a set, but don't really like the "unfinished" look of the center without a centercap.

Center caps are available and come with the wheel. I ran mine both ways and currently put another set back on.

Run at least one full tank through it to allow it to "settle" and re-measure. My identical setup has about 7,500 miles on it now and with 2 off road weekends, and a couple hundred pounds of work gear in the back it is 1/4" low on the driver's side. Probably another 1/2" lower with my big butt sitting in it. 2 days is too soon to tell.
Thanks 3wbdriver. That's what I'm hoping is that it needs to settle in a little bit. So it's really nothing that would come from install or anything? Hopefully taking her back in to recheck the alignment today.
so after ordering a 2014, canceling the order... talking about ordering again blah blah blah. I said screw it and lifted the current '11 SR5 and called it a day. 2.5 Front and 1.5 rear. no car payments fits me better than a 2014. Tires are on order, went with Duratac P Rated for my mall crawler

I honestly couldn't tell you. I drove mine off the lot from the installation and alignment and went 500 miles straight home before I measured anything. I'm guessing it settled in during the 75 mph stretches on I-10 and the bumpy back roads of west central Louisiana. All 4 corners were within 1/4". That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Parts from metaltech4x4 were about 4300. If you are in Athens I recommend Atlanta Custom Creations, they are not far from you and specialize in this stuff. I ended up using Restylers in Ft Walton Beach because it is close to my house. ACC quoted me 1050 including body mount chop, mount and balance and alignment. Restylers did everything except the bodymount chop for 925.

Sweet....It'll be awhile before I can make that happen but ultimately that is what I want. I will defiantly be in touch with ACC. Thanks for the info.
