It's been a while since I've been on here. It's been well over a year since I sold my 5th gen. I spotted this one today in Scottsdale next to Starbucks. 4 women were driving it around. Anyone recognize it?

Was wondering.. I have installed a set of OME 883 on the front of my 2010 4runner SR5... it looks high.. I was wondering if this is a bad setup. I'm I going to kill my ball joints and CV's?.. I've done nothing to the rear. Stock setup. Should I take these things off before I break something?

Toytec sells 1" diff drop kits. Helped with my CV angle.

How high? Did you measure before and after?? Post a pic!!

I had to got the dealership and measure the old height. It looks to be an inch to an inch and a half. But, after looking at the difference.. wow! It seemed high. Let me figure out how to post a picture and put one up.

Here is a few pics of my 2010 4Runner with the OME 883's in the front.

You're fine. Many folks like me are up 2.5" in the front with no issues. Front looks a little higher than the rear, now it's time for the rear spacers or springs!!

Little worried..

Before I go on. I did have a winch and front ARB bar on. This is the reason I had the 883's on. The ARB bumper did not grow on me.. I just didn't like it all.. So I bought a new front bumper cover and had it painted to match and put it on. All that remains is the springs..

That looks fine, mine is up 3" with no issues.

I agree with you on that ARB bumper, They look terrible!:barf:

Installed OME lift and 285/70/17 Cooper ATP

Installed:
884 coils and 90010 sport shocks in front
889 coils and 60080 shocks in rear
5mm trim packer on drivers front

The OME 889 rears are medium duty 3" lift coils correct? Did you have to swap the brake lines for extended lines? How is the ride with the heavier coils?

Yes they are medium duty, rated for a constant load of 220-400 lbs. I am going to install rear cargo so wanted to make the springs stiff. Negative on extended brake lines and I love the ride. Feels like a truck should.
