Post your LIFTED pix here!

Ok team, need some advice. I've been piecing together my lift for a few months now and finally put it on this weekend. I was the Lone Ranger on this one so it took me pretty much all day. Here's the setup: Toytec Superflex springs with Bilstein 5100s fin the rear and eibach/toytec springs with 5100s in the front. The rims are American Outlaw Bandits 17x9 -10 offset and the tires are 285/70 Falken Rocky Mountain ATS II.

I haven't really had a chance to stand back and look at it until I just got it back from the alignment shop. As you can see, the ass is poppin! At first I though I might have received the wrong rear springs... Maybe I got the "heavy duty" rears instead of the regular super flexes.... But then I notice how low the front lift looked. The tires were also slightly rubbing on the body mount which I thought was a little strange as other guys running these tires haven't had rubbing issues (but every truck is different).

So I just went through my emails and sure enough.... in all of my glorious dumbassery..... I ordered the wrong front springs!!!! :mad2::mad2::mad2:

The toytech/eibach springs look exactly the same, are the same price, and have the same load numbers... But one is a 1.6" lift and the other is a 2.5" lift. Sooooo, what to do now??? I'm almost positive toytec won't do an exchange, I mean why should they right? I haven't called them yet because they're closed for the day but they'll be my first call in the morning. The other option is to lift the truck more using the 5100s. However, I'm hesitant to do so because Spring was a biyatch getting on the shock as it was. Plus I really want to do it right.

In hindsight, I should have just bought the preassembled toytec 3" lift... FML. So, should I bite the bullet and get the right springs (possibly with spacers to get the full 3" in the front) or should I just change the setting on the 5100s?

Change the setting up one notch on the 5100s. You need to be carful moving the clip so that you don't stress it. Also, you are going to need another alignment... Might be a good idea to do Firestone lifetime alignment deal. I've aligned mine about 6 times in less than 2 years. The rear and front springs will settle some as well after a bit.

I think Toytec will swap you out as long as the price range is pretty much the same. Have you called them yet?

Yeah, I called them. They couldn't do anything for me since I already installed the springs, which is what I expected.

I thought a lot about just using the 5100's to get some extra lift but it would only get me to about 2.5 inches. I want to make sure I get the full 3" up front without doing any trial and error and having to keep aligning it. I decided to just buy the 2.5" springs with the 3/4" spacers. Unfortunately they're on back order, so it'll be another week or two before I get them.

So if anyone is looking for some of the toytech/eibach springs there will be some for sale in the classifieds soon :thumb:

I agree, with giving the .85 setting a go. see what you think. It will only cost you time... and then you can get that lifetime alignment. Search you tube for a tacoma bilstein lift how to. Shows how to unbolt the LCA from spindle and use weight of truck to release pressure from coilover. Then do the Reverse to put it all back together.

Almost the same thing just happened to me.
I got OME 884 installed on 5100s on the lowest notch. I thought from my research that it would give me around 2.5" to 3" of lift. It got me exactly 2".

I think I will have the 5100 moved up one notch which should get me close to 3". I am at 2-1/2" to 3" in the rear with the all-pro 2" springs. I haven't flexed them yet, so they may settle a tad..

My advice would be the same as yours - dont dick around and just get the toytec assembled coilovers or the boss..

After researching the site I put together a pretty good build. Thanks for sharing all the ideas! Didn't realize how sad the stock ride really looked until now!

Looks good. I just saw a trail edition that had a lift over here in the mukilteo wa area. did notice that they had changed out the taillights for the 2014 LEDs But i have a stock SR5 and his was lifted and it does look pretty good.

These all look great! Looking forward to throwing a suspension on my newly acquired '11 SR5. Got a question! Total noob when it comes to a truck.. Just came from driving a sports coupe for 10yrs and was wondering if the upgraded suspension helps with the dip while braking?

has anyone done a full suspension lift kit with a lock and lift spacer, im wondering if i can get another inch or two on my 3" toytec by getting spacers also. and yea cd121082 im looking for the 2014 taillight conversion kit from a toyota dealership they can be pretty expensive. I wish our lights didnt buldge out of the sides i was able to wrap my DRL but there was no way for me to wrap the headlights or tails i even went to acouple shops they wouldnt do it.

Yes, upgraded suspension will help with nosedive, depending on type of lift you do. Not sure if spacer lift would help as much, but I know changing shocks to something like Bilstein 5100s helps!

What about a 1" Body lift?

2014 Limited Lifted

Can someone give me some links to see pictures of a new 2014 limited lifted? Trying to figure out if I want the trail or limited - Like the looks of both!!
Thanks in advance!
