Finally lifted

First and foremost thanks to everyone on here to give me the guidance and knowledge needed to make my rig look awesome! Special thanks to Warthog, KVA, and Jhalko for assistance and quick responses to my questions. My rig is not as nice as most on here however, very happy with the end result thus far. Well I received my Icon Stage 1 lift from Metal tech when ordered during black friday. Now it has been installed and can not be any happier with performance. Rides great in the city and also drives solid on the highway at 75 MPH. Overall very pleased with the ride and height achieved and still have room to grow if I decide to go with bigger tires and bumpers in the future. Couldn't wait to get her off pavement so went to a lil dirt road and played around a lil. My son is loving the 4runner. arty:

You need some aftermarket upper control arms to get proper caster in there. Get an alignment. Looks clean dude.

Most of the trail is really slow going until you reach the dunes where you can run around at whatever speed you can handle although there are also a couple of runs you can get up to 25 or maybe 30 mph or so; along the river basin and feeder arroyos, and on top there is a section with very smooth trail floors and high banked curves. Maybe if you had a true desert runner like a Raptor or Baja racer you can fly over all the sudden ruts, lower rock croppings, and such along the bottom and smaller side hills at much faster speeds. I took a flying run up a steep incline with lots of loose, deep sand only to be suddenly halted by a 3 ft. tall rock cropping that you couldn't see from the bottom; that made for an interesting sudden stop and slow sliding/backward crawl all the way down...lol. The rest of the trails have lots of tight fits, deep ruts, large whoopie doos, steep inclines and declines, and loose sand. Lot's of fun!

It's funny hearing this after spending the first 30 years of my life in Kansas... Connecticut seems like a pretty decent area of the country for outdoors activities including camping.

Jelly of your lift and psyched for you! I do like CT and it's beautiful but I've been here my whole life and have to trek up to VT, upstate NY, NH, MAINE, PA for my camping needs. Mostly everything here is locked down and actual campgrounds are super crowded. I enjoy solitude and besides backpacking it's hard to find a place you can just turn off a country road and dissappear on without running into trouble with police or private land owners. I have spent some time hanging with friends in places like TX, CA, CO and Utah and those mountains and views just do something to me. I would kill to be able to just turn down a road and dissapear into the dessert or mountains like I see some of you doing. Not trying to thread jack and my 14 TEP is stock besides KO2's but if you know of anywhere in the area I can go get lost for the day or maybe camp out in some sort of solitude with some water PM me!!! I'd be forever grateful.

The photos won't tell us what your alignment actually is. I would say yes get some arms if you can't get it within spec or want to get the most out of your kit.

Thanks for the feedback! Alignment is ok but could use some work. UCA's are going on in the near future. Like you stated " get the most out of your kit" is 100% spot on. Looking at LR UCA's.

Did you use one pair of 10mm rear spacers or did you stack two?
