Post your LIFTED pix here!

I'm new to this board as I picked up my 2014 TEP with KDSS about 6 weeks ago. I have searched extensively through the lifts and have decided to go with 5100s all around just to level the front and reduce nose dive for now. I live in an apartment with street parking and no access to a garage or driveway, nor the tools necessary to do the job myself. So, calling around some shops and I'm being quoted what seem like ridiculous prices. One place last night said having KDSS added another 2 hours of labor and brought the total job to 7 hours and over $700 just for the install.

So, question is, for those that have had this done, what should I reasonably be expecting to pay? Follow up question, anyone in the Portland area interested in making a few bucks on the side?? :)
Just got qoute here in maryland of $390 3.5 hours for front and 1 hour labor for rears said if had kdss hours really jump.

Just got back from alignment shop. Installed the 5100s myself and kept the stock springs. Now I gotta get some sweet tires. Any body sell their stock tires? What did you get for them?

Bottom= After

Looks real good, do you have any more pics from the side?

Man, after reading this whole thread over 3 days (thanks, boring nights at work) I feel pretty confident in my choice to have gotten a basic Toytec 2.5" front / 1.5" rear leveling lift. I think that'll present the look I'm seeking at the price point I desire without causing any other issues or affecting the ride too much. My offroad forays are pretty mild, mostly; I really just like to tear up rough gravel and dirt roads.

I plan on getting new tires, not for appearances, but because I just don't really like the Mastercrafts that the PO has on it. They are stock size mud terrain tires. I'll be replacing them with Firestone Destination AT which don't really seem to get a lot of love on here but which I've had great experience with on my Tacoma and Xterra.

I'm keeping the stock wheels. I gotta say, I only really like the bronze TRD wheels and black military style steelies as possible replacements. Some of the bling in this thread has failed to blow my skirt up especially at the price point involved ($800 a wheel!!!??).

So, two lift related questions:

Will the spacer help with the front brake dive, since the suspension is "preloaded" with the spacer in place?

Am I better retaining stock size tires or moving up one size to 275/70 17? I don't want the "tiny wheel" look but I also want there to be an obvious appearance of a lift and I wonder if going up one size wouldn't eat up a bit of the gap between the wheels / fenders and make the whole thing just look stock.

2014 Trail non KDSS.

Lifted pics to be coming once I figure out the tire size, probably do it this week.

I'll answer my own questions in case anyone who reads this later has the same ones.

The spacer lift does slightly help with the brake dive, more because the truck is sitting more level so it "feels" like it dives less, I suspect.

I went with 285 spec tires which fit fine with no rubbing, but I would note that these are AT tires and so they have a less prominent tread pattern than an off road tire. An off road tire in the same size would probably have a larger diameter despite being rated the same size. I would have gotten 275 spec tires but they were more expensive (?) and were not in stock.

I think the 285's were the right choice, they really make the truck look more aggressive even in the AT tread, and they add 1/2" of ground clearance over the stock size.

Lift is the basic and cheap Toytec 2.5" front spacer and 1.5" rear spacer. There is still a 1/2" of positive rake which is fine by me, but it's mostly level.

:iagree:

Those Firestones do look good mounted on your 4Runner TE wheels. They got a lot of positive reviews from ranchers that drive them on and off the road. I had a set on my Rodeo. I drove on them for about a year before I sold it. The tires handled well and were quiet.

The stance of your 4Runner looks real good. Toyota should have built the 4Runner with that stance and tire size. I can't wait to get my T4R lifted and some new shoes. I might have to go with Firestones.

Thanks. I had bought a new set of Destination ATs in 265 / 75 16 for my old Taco and liked them so much that I transferred them (at 15,000 miles) onto my Xterra when I bought it. Had them do it while I was signing the papers - the 40 mile test drive on the brand new OEM Rugged Fails was enough to convince me of their suckage. That set of "used" Firestones then took me on a 8,000 mile trip of the US including a ton of high speed freeway, twisty mountain and coastal 2 lane, lots of bad gravel, and some legit off road stuff in Moab and Colorado. I found them to be the perfect tire for everything I was doing.

They also have a 50,000 mi tread, are nice and smooth, quiet on road, good traction in everything but a mud bog, and cheap.

I really like them and can't say enough good about them. I think most people buy tires they don't need for stuff they won't do. I'm more practical than that.

Bilstein 5100s; OME 884 & SAW 1.5 coils; Camburg BJ UCAs

Finally able to post here! Been piecing together my setup over the last 2 months, finally got it all installed and took it out for a weekend camping trip.

Bilstein 5100s on all corners; front: OME 884 coils (2.5" lift with Bilsteins set at 0), Camburg BJ UCAs; Rear: SAW 1.5 coils

Wheels: 17x8.5" Method NV in Matte Black
Tires: BFG All-terrain K02 275/70/R17

Ride quality has DRASTICALLY improved over the SR5's mushy stock suspension. Very happy with the end result!! :becky:

Blue 15 Do you notice any difference in ride quality and nose dive? Thanks in advance. I love that color Nautical Blue!

How is the ride quality with the spacer? Any regrets? any reason you didn't go 3" front? Thanks.
