quick question for ya, where in the bay are you located? Im over here in Sac and am looking for a shop for my suspension install (when/what I decide - prolly toytec ultimate). Thompsons in Placerville is more than qualified but wouldn't mind the cost to be a lil cheaper for the labor... thanks!

New here. Just purchased this 2012 limited as it sits. However I can't tell if it has a lift or not. What do you guys think?

It has 285s on it. I have about 1/4 from the tire to fender at full turn.

If no lift. What do you guys recommend? The shop around my house quoted me $500 for a 3 inch procomp lift... I mainly want to be able to have more room for the tires and improve ride comfort. Thanks in advance.

Bilsteins all the way around.

1.75" on front and OME 10mm spacers on the back. Also put on a 3/8" spacer on driver front and an additional 10mm on driver rear to account for the lean. I have a 0.75" rake after all said and done.

Looks great! Also going with the same setup but with 1" cornfed in the rear. Are those stock size tires?

Figured I'd post in here too since I finally had my lift installed and new tires and wheels.

Toytec BOSS Ultimate Lift kit, with upgraded front coilovers to BOSS 2.5, rear is BOSS 2.0 shocks and springs.

got the 285s, JBA HD UCAs and 3" adjustable ultimate springs installed over the bilsteins. had to have a shop do the work this time due to being away from home and working way too much. requested the BMC but they instead decided to crank the lift until no rub.... not the right way to go about it.... but they are going to get it right when i go back on tuesday and then drop the nose about 1".

I saw that. and I know what it means. 3" seems to be a more common lift , 2.5 sounds more like a level.

I have been searching and reading and I have found members here reporting some things that are somewhat confusing, regarding what tires I would like to go with on my stock Trail wheels. I currently have the Daystar leveling kit (2.5/1 inch) and currently running 275/70s. I would like to go with 285/70s on the stock wheels but I have been reading about having to move the inner fender forward and potentially removing the mud flaps and or running boards.

Would I need to remove all the aforementioned so that the 285s would work?

No two trucks are really the same. There are differences even with trucks that have the same exact parts installed. Moving the fender liner forward, trimming the front bumper, and removing the mud flaps are all pretty common, but some people don't have to do all of that, while some have to do all of that AND a BMC to not have rubbing with 285's.

I would just get what you want and know what you may need to do to get it to fit right. You won't know for sure until after it's installed and you start driving it.

Hey Almo,

What you want to do is actually what I have done. I'm running 285 70R17 BFG A/Ts and I did remove my mud flaps and the inner liner had to be moved. Not sure how much impact the spacers had. There was no BM trim, no bumper trim. Right now I'm over a 2.5 inch lift but I'm told it will settle. I'm running the OME kit from Rocky Road Outfitters with the medium spring rate. I have no rubbing even at full lock. Maybe it's because I went with white letters out? :dance: Pic is above for reference. Tires are damn near flush with the fenders.
