Post your LIFTED pix here!

Decided I needed some tires with better wet traction. I opted for the p-rated Firestone Destination A/T 285/70/17. I was a little apprehensive about a p rated tire in this size, but so far so good. Handling hasn't suffered and it feels like the truck is actually quicker than it was before. Haven't been able to gauge gas mileage hit yet. Not sure if it translate well in pics, but the visual difference is pretty obvious - definitely balances the truck out better with the lift, IMO.

I've been reading quite a bit about everyone's lift kits and am wondering....

With some spidertrax 1.25" spacers and bilstein 5100's, would I notice a reduction in gas mileage?

I would like a more aggressive, taller look (2-2.5" taller) for my 2011 SR5 and would like to smooth out the ride if I can.

I do not go offroad at all and put a lot of highway miles on the vehicle, so I don't necessarily want to drop my MPG. Would the two add-ons above give me what I'm looking for? I guess I'm just looking for some help with what all I need for:

- A slight lift
- A wider stance
- A smoother highway/city ride

Thanks in advance everyone!

From my experience, I don't think that the leveling and the wheel spacers would cause you to lose mileage. Now when you add larger tires or heavier tires then yes, I'd say you'd lose milage. I had the 5100s on my previous vehicle, and on my 2011 SR5 now, they do come with some mild stiffness, though it wasn't anything I considered a big deal.

Well, I never thought I would be posting in this forum but.... here are a few crappy pix of my newly installed OW2.0 kit w/ my 265 Duras. I know everyone is going to tell me get the 285s, and the cost is no problem, but I really like a 265 tire better. I'll probably end up doing it and know the extra 1" will look better.

I gotta thank Gary, Nathan, Marc, and Arie for their various bits of advice about different things. This forum is so valuable. In fact, I installed everything myself with minor assistance from a neighbor. I had never even changed oil before, but nuts and bolts seem pretty easy and that is primarily what this job entailed. Took all day but I managed KDSS no problem and had no troubles when starting it up. No crushed boots and everything is torqued to spec which gives me piece of mind. I'm up about 3" in the front and 2.25" in back, and it will settle a bit. I might lower the front 1/2". My clearance is much improved; over 12" up front to the newly installed mag grey powder coated BB skid. I hope to install the rest of the under armor this weekend. Biggest difference in ride is cornering - so flat now as opposed to before. I really love it.

I have never noticed this on here but your radio antenna is on the opposite side of mine.

It looks as though the pictures are "mirrored"...Notice there's no KDSS res on the frame rail either...And no gas tank...But there is the muffler. You are actually looking at the passenger side.

Yeah, the pics are mirrored. I mirrored the originals to compare ride height/stance etc. to pre-modification photos I made. I didn't bother reflipping before posting.

Tricky one.....Good eye as you were the first to catch it. Editing software was used to "Flip" it horizontally.
Here it is flipped back ....lol

Did a little wheeling on the weekend. This obstacle required ATRAC, locker, and some really good spotting.

At a certain point the centre of gravity passes over the middle of the obstacle and the truck seesaws from rear passenger to front driver. Rear passenger tire is now in the air.

That is killer Mark. Easily one of the tougher obstacles I have seen posted here. Not sure I have the know how for that one just yet!

How is the 2.0 doing? Sure looks good :-)

Without the help of my spotters there's no way I would've been able to do that one or even considered attempting it. Before I got my 4Runner back in March I'd never been offroading in my life :D

The OW 2.0 seems to be getting better the harder I use it. We had to drive some heavily rutted gravel roads just to get to the trailhead and the suspension ate them up. Incredibly happy I opted to go that route. Yours is looking pretty good with the lift. When do the 285s go on? :whip2:

what is your mpg like with 285s and lift?

Holy Moly, my heart just kicked into overdrive just looking at those pics, esp the one where your all sideways. Nice work!

Honestly not a clue. The bigger tires throw the speedometer and odometer off and I haven't bothered calculating it manually based on the ~3% difference. Right now the computer says 13.6 L/100km based on about 90% city and the rest highway.
