Yup, I removed them. I have the TE front fenders and rockers on order. Should be in this week then off to paint.

Do you mind sharing your source and how much? My Toy dealer wanted roughly $1200 for fender flares and rockers.

Was that painted and installed or just parts? If just parts they need to GTFO! I paid $336 for the fender moldings and mud guards, and about the same for the rockers. I called my local parts dept and told them about the prices from Okkis thread.

There are some way cool trucks on this post! I have 2011 4R and I am planning to add a bumper winch combo and a lift. I already have Rock sliders. I'm not a rock crawler but get into some hairy places in Colorado when hunting. Plus I think they look cool.

Are their any issues with changing the angle of the CV joints causing early failure? I toasted the front axels on a pickup I had by negelting this fact. Do I need to replace the brake lines with the lift?

Brake lines don't need to be replaced. You do need to conscious of the ABS sensor wires during the install (don't break them). As far as CV angles, I don't know if most of us have enough miles to comment accurately on failure, but I haven't seen any posts on it. Most folks say with 2-3'' of lift you aren't at too much of an angle. I have 10K+ on my setup with no issues.

She does have some Arkansas pin striping already.

17,000 miles so far and no issues. The chains on the back and the trailer weight helped with some of the muddy hill climbs in Colorado this year.

Skid plates would have made me less tweaky on mountain trails of Colorado, seems the bolders like to stay in the middle of the road. But hey you have to get where the elk are!!!!

Had a few scuffs on my rock sliders so I'm guessing the running boards (puke here) would have been ripped off the rig.

Plans for a new front bumper with winch, a lift and some new tires to make her more at home in the hills.

Most folks say with 2-3'' of lift you aren't at too much of an angle.

This pretty much echoes what I've been told about lifts on Toyota trucks in general. If you look at most of the kits for our trucks like OW, Toytec, OME, etc. they all go to about 3" maximum.

Would a front diff drop help any? I have seen a couple of people do it, but don't really know how much it would help with the CV angles if any. Any thoughts from the people who are lifted? Thinking about doing the OME lift myself.

only need it if your doing the lift, OME says you don't but it wouldn't hurt.
