9 wraps
does anyone have any tricks or tips to fitting 9 wraps? just force them in?

You really have to leverage on them with a prybar to get them in there, kind of compressing and sliding them at the same time, at least that's how it was to get the 8 wraps in there.
Coil spring compressor worked for me.
Unbolting the trac-bar would help too.
Mine are 7.5/8 wraps and are coming out tomorrow for OME 891s. It looks too much like a stink bug. Fronts are Tundra springs/Billies on third notch and I'm bringing it down to the second notch as well.

Overall I'm happy with them. The ride quality out back is smooth, the springs have good travel and most of all they were cheap ($75 for the pair plus paint I think?). Some things to look out for:
-Even with the 7 wraps you're going to get some rake unless you do a big lift out front. I did tundra billies on the second perch with the stiffer old man emu's out front which gave me right about 3 inches of lift. As you can see in the photo there is probably 3.5-4 inches of lift out back and I haven't even installed that front plate bumper yet. I'll probably need to get some type of spacer for the front.
-The LC coils are MUCH taller than the factory springs which brings about two problems. First is that they are a PAIN to get in there if you don't have a second set of hands to push down on the axle.
-As for the second problem, replace the bolts holding the rear shock with sturdier hardware. The shock is only held on by the lower bolt and the taller spring puts more pressure on it causing the head to shear off (and the shock to dangle). I had to drill and tap to fix it...would have been the easiest thing in the world to just put new bolts in there off the bat.
All of this being said I'm happy overall. I think my biggest gripe about the lift kit I did is how stiff the emu shocks are out front. I'd recommend the LC rear springs to anyone looking for an inexpensive, high lift with decent road manners. Just be prepared to put in more wrench time than a bolt in kit.

I got about 4" lift from my 7 wraps but they where OEM new. They wont give as much lift used from a land cruiser. I also added a 1.5" BL but can get some ideas from my lift. I have 3" up front.

Im running the coils from an lx, according to kevin the lx coils actually have a lower spring rate than the lc coils, he says also the number of wraps is misleading, and since the lc coils are almost all coming from old landcruisers they are going to be worn in, basically they are all a little different. the lx always comes with the same coils though, and the 7 wraps are found on the earlier 80 series.

This thread is a little old, but I'm excited about my LC coils I just put in so I figured I'd share.
Front: Toytec Eibach coils on the bottom perch of Tundra 5100's
Rear: 7.5 wraps that I picked up off of ih8mud
1.5" body lift
285/75-16 tires
It's about 4.5 inches of lift with around 200 lbs worth of storage box and tools.
