Power lock / Window both stop working at the same time ?

Hey guys, my rear driverside door (was working fine yesterday, power locks and window) stopped working. Neither the window will roll down nor the lock function operate. All the other windows and locks are fine. I jiggled the wires that come through the door and nothing. Could both motor and solenoid have gone out at the same time?

Probably the Door Control Relay, PN 85980 I believe. Sit down before you look up the cost for a new one.

It is under your dash near the steering column. When mine went out I removed it, cleaned it with electrical cleaner and gave it a few love taps to get it working again.

Although this is a repair for the rear window relay, you may find some ideas on what to do if you have to take it apart and repair.

Below is what they look like.

Pull the door panel off, pull the window motor and bench test it. That's what I would do first then go from there...that's just me tho

I would run jumpers from the battery before I pulled it. There are only 2 wires and it is a reverse polarity motor. 12v one side, ground the other - window goes up. Reverse - window goes down.

With both the locks and the window though it has to be the relay or the wiring in the door jam. Most likely the relay.

Haha yeah that's what I meant...

I'm actually about to start taking the door panel off. If no go, I'm going to pull the Door relay off.... Thanks for all the input. I'm hoping just a bad connection somewhere. Something cheap and easy :)
