Power Steering Squeal

I've had an annoying squeal on my 4runner since I got it 2 years ago. When I crank the wheel to hard for tight parking I got a loud and embarrassing squeal. Does anyone else have this issue?

I had the same problem a while ago too. It ended up being a worn power steering belt and the sound went away after I replaced the belt.

I get a squeal when I turn tightly backing up or pulling in somewhere tight, and it only started last week. I had my three belts replaced a month ago and it didn't happen the first three weeks.

Would it just be a belt problem, or is there another possible reason for the squeal. Nice high pitch rubber squeal sound.

First I changed the fluid, which appeared to work but I guess not.
I recently bought CRC belt dressing and sprayed the belts with it. I no longer have the problem.

The new belt is just stretching. You need to tighten it. I had the same on my a/c belt. Damn thing would squawk every time my a/c came on, which in Texas is a bunch!
