PP Springs & Bilstein insalled today

I just got my pp springs and bilstein's installed today. I need to take it back and get an alignment done. Here is what I think and my ride.....pics to follow tomorrow.

-For those who said the ride is rougher than stock I would disagree. My 4runner is stiffer yes, but in a good way and by that I mean, there is no exsessive body roll as before and hopping when I go over bumps. The rough roads soak up much better that before. I use to be able to feel rough roads throughout the whole vehicle now it is located to the wheels only.......if that makes sense.

-My runner is a 2002 sport 4x4 and I gained about 1 3/4" of lift, I'm sure when it settles it'll be about 1 1/2"

-I had 265/75/16 BFG A/T's installed about 5k ago and was rubbing at full left turn. I now have no rubbing issues although there is about 3/16" clearence when the wheel is turned and there is a chance they may rub again when the lift settles.

My 4runner looks like it should in my opinion....capable!

Also....for those wondering I had them installed at Tire Discounters for $220.00 well worth it in my opinion.

Took it in to get my alignment today and it's a lot better, however, before I took it in to get the springs/shocks installed I had no vibrations at all when driving 65-70. Now after the lift I get a vibration at 65-70, it's really annoying!!!

Any thoughts??? Could the almost 2" of lift have chanced the drive line enough to cause this? Should I be concerend?

Any help would be great!!!!

The 4Runner looks great with the new setup, I really love the sport look.

Did the alignment shop check the balance on your tires also? I had a vibration problem until I finally found a decent shop that really knew how to balance large tires.

I didn't have the vibration until the springs/shocks where installed. The vibration isn't a constant vibrating, it comes and goes rythmicly......if that makes sense.

likely its a balance issue

try getting them balanced.

hi, congrats on the install. i have a 2k highlander 4x4 and had the pp springs and bilstein installed last year.

i agree... the handling is improved and i should have done the upgrade a looooong time ago.

get the tires balanced. you should not have any problems.

i took my truck to a place that specializes in alignments - they work on BIG trucks, passenger cars, buses - so i felt confident that they would do a great job and did.

they did everything for me... installation, balance and alignment.

btw, i have the same bfg a/ts in stock size and do not rub.

I'll take it in over the weekend and get them rebalanced, it's nice driving without my tires rubbing!!!

There is a road by my house that is horrible and driving down this road now is night and day compared to my stock setup.

Now I rub my leg more on my runing boards......I think those will be coming off really soon.

Personally I don't think that lowering them an inch helped with the "performance" I always looked at older 4runners, pre 01 and thought that they looked great.

I've lifted every vehicle I've owned, mainly jeeps, so when I got the 4runner it was killing me how low it sat.

I have a set of PP springs sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. I just dont know which bilsteins to go with for shocks. Can show me a link to the exact shocks I should get..

PP1 springs

here is my rig with the pp1 and bilstiens. I also put on the addco sway bars same time absolutely love how it rides now. dont think you can get newpp1 springs anymore. someone correct me if im wrong.last pic is with stock tires (265/70R16) no rubbing new tires 265/70R17 some rubbing drivers side fender flare nothing a sawzall couldn't take care of to 10 seconds . you can only tell if you look real hard.
