Prarie city, CA t4r day?

I'm new to the forum and want to do a meet up in the sac area at prarie city. I've never been there but my buddy was tellin me it's nice lemme know what you guys think of havin a meet up sometime soon

I drive by it daily....head out there often. Let me know, I am always down to meet new people to go wheel. They did just redue the entire offroad park....lots of things if your rig is set up to rock crawl (mine is not yet)....and mud pits, etc.

Too far for me. It's a 3 hour drive to get there and from what I've hear not all that great. Sometimes I wish I lived further up in the bay for wheeling.

I've never been to prarie city and dont know too many local trails. So If anyone has suggestions letsnhear them. I just want a t4 meet up and a good day on the wheelin :lookout:

I haven't gotten it out on too many trails most it's seen is Knoxville and Boggs which are really mild with some obstacles. I enjoy stayin a little closer to home. At least for the time being 206k miles and knowing how badly I need to do a good tune up on it always gives you that worried feeling

never go wheeling if your truck is not 100 percent. people who do are irresponsible for themselves and others who they may endanger.

Its at 98 percent. My only concern is the transmission. I check every thing monthly and after anytime off road. All seals bushings bearings and all that good stuff are good. Minus a small leak from my power steering.

I understand what your saying. I'm a cautious person and haven't broken anything offroading and don't wanna know how it feels

is your tranny slipping?

It's in the early stages. Not slipping slipping but starting to show its age

I have no idea my brother did it at his shop a while back. I need to do a flush on it but I'd honestly rather save my pennies and get a rebuilt

flushing wont fix anything, if its slipping then its the clutch pack wearing out, that mean eventually you'll need a rebuild, so i say save your money from the flushing. also keep an eye on sudden rpm change if it last more than couple of second it might be time to take it in the shop

I wanna flush it because it's also time to change the fluid anyways
And I have been keeping an eye on it and Babyin it as much as I can

i usually tell people flushing can cause old build up to get into the gears but in your case you might as well.

That's why I have been so on the fence about doin it but smelling the oil I can smell it's a little burnt. So Im looking at it like well damage is done maybe I can a few thousands more miles out of it. Really really sucks. But! If you hear anything or see any good deals on a transmission please lemme know!
