Price Check - 08 Limited in Seattle

Hey all - anyone purchased a 4Runner Limited 4WD in the Seattle area lately?

Prices seem really high, I am thinking (hoping) the absolute most I want to pay is $25K, however most are $27K and up.....here is the link to one I have been watching:

Dealer is asking almost $31K, and has indicated $28K is his low.....which means I don't think I could get near the $25K.

Anyway, anyone have any recent experience on 08/09 4Runner 4WD price paid in Seattle (or Pacific Northwest). I am willing to wait for the right one....is my price max out of whack? Thanks.

That sounds high to me

I don't have a V8 4wd limited, however,

I bought a 2008 SR5 4WD V6 (47,000mi) no accidents for $26k tax in including extended warranty in 2010 september from Toyota of Seattle. base price was $23k.

I found the extended warranty to be a waste of money, I've put 35k mi on the truck, no claims yet.

I wouldn't pay that much...but nice to know that our resale value stays high.

I think you'll be happier if you know you're getting a good truck and a good deal.
 
I bought a 2007 Sport 4WD in absolute mint condition (40k) perfect for 25k from a seattle dealer almost a year ago.
 
Seems a little on the high side to me as well. Does it have to be a limited? Here's a nice Sport Edition in your area. If you're unfamiliar with the differences between the two check out this link.
 
Paid 25k, for my 4x4 Limited V8(31K miles) two years ago. Was from a Dealership as well.

Might be a little on the high side.
 
Seems high but from what I've heard Michaels in Seattle is always over priced. I went to Oregon to get my rig. If your good at it and can play their game you should be able talk them down to your price. If they refuse to budge on price, I'd keep looking. There's deals out there.

How about all that snow today! Loving it! And the forecast is calling for another 4-14" in town and feet of snow in the mountains. Can't wait to go riding on Wed.

I agree with krupnation, you got to play their game. I purchased my 2008 with 40k for $26.5 a few months back. They were originally asking $30k; you need to show interest and be firm with your position on paying $25k. Seriously, walk away if they are getting there, I bet they'll either stop you in your tracks or call you the next day. Dealerships survive on impulse buyers so be stubborn.
 
I picked up an 06 limited V8 with 82K miles for $21K less than a month ago. It's probably not the "best" deal I've found but it wasn't bad. I watched all the local channels for about 3 months before I bought this one. The deals seem to come in waves. If you're not comfortable walk away. There are too many 4Runners around here to worry about it.
 
OK, thanks for the responses everyone, good to have some real data to go by....has to be limited because I am tired of digging dog hair out of my cloth seats, they are almost like a magnet :)

I will keep looking for the right one....in the right price range.

Just an FYI - you can find SR5's and Sport Editions with leather. Also, when I bought mine last summer I got it for $1500 less than the special "online price" which in turn was about $3000 less than what it was marked on the lot. I'm sure that varies from dealer to dealer as well. It's almost impossible to know how much the dealer is into a vehicle on a trade in.
 
I purchased mine down in Tillamook, OR. Anywhere in Seattle, Bellevue, etc is going to be ass raping high. Down in Tillamook i paid at least 5 grand less than i did up here. Let me know if you have any questions.

That is over priced, and their low isn't doing you and "favors". I can't remember my way around Seattle, and I can't see the link to the 4runner but if it is downtown Seattle, it will be priced higher. What is the mileage? I know it is a Limited, but does the dealer know what year it is currently? If you love the condition, color, drivetrain, and model version, work them. You are right to top out at $25,000. Unless that 4runner has less than 30k miles. Don't ever settle, because you will be eyeballing every other 4runner you see.

I settled, and every 2008 Shadow Mica V6 Sport/Limited just teases me saying "I told you so"

Oh yeah and they are correct about the leather option being available in other models. It doesn't have to be a Limited for leather.
 
we bought our 04 limited for 20k about a year ago. there is a up scale used care lot by the costco in woodinville that brings in a lot of used 4th gen 4runners and they seem to be pretty straight shooters....i drove a lot of there rigs before we picked up ours. anyways, good luck with your search!
