Price Check on 2012 Limited

A good rule of thumb overall is 10% off MSRP BEFORE TTL.

That may be true with domestics these days but there is not 10% mark up on Toyotas. There are dealers out there that will give away the house and make stupids deals like that. You might get close on the most expensive 4Runner available but no way on an SR5.

Key word there is "overall" - not SR5, not LE, not 4Runner, not Toyota, etc. General buying guide overall.

Lol you obvously don't understand anything.

I paid 1000 less out the door then the sticker! In reality, before taxes and fees it ends up being are $31500! I feel that's a okay deal that I got, maybe I could have done better if I didn't custom order it...

If you don't believe me about paying $38k out the door, check the section where everyone posts how much they paid at edmunds.com

Btw the tmv pricing on edmunds and pricing on kbb.com are too high in reality

I have a feeling your the kinda guy that believes the car salesmen when he says your getting a good deal

You come off as a jerk off. Check truecar.com for prices actually paid, not dubiuous internet testimonials. Your selling an end point of $38K out the door for a 2012 LE and that's just wrong. 2012 LE with NAV has delaer cost of $39.4, invoice of $40.2, sticker of $42.7. How you can ever construe that to $38K OTD is for you to defend.

Fellas I appreciate the enthusiasm in my thread, but lets not get off course and not resort to name calling and such. If you have something contributing to the thread than great if not move on.

Fantastic debate all around.

If you are happy with your price then you got a good price :)

Paying more or less for a vehicle doesn't make anyone a 'fool'.

If I was an ER doc, maybe taking a 1500$ OT shift is better than spending 8 hours calling up dealerships, etc. Also the amount you can get off the MSRP seems to vary by country, region, supply levels, etc. Assuming anyone who paid more than you isn't as smart as you would seem to prove the opposite :)

Well said!!!

i picked up a 2011 demo LE wiht 7200 miles for just a hair under 37 + taxs title and tags and i mean a hair. The dealer wanted to get rid of it and i had my 2 kids under 2 years old with me and the wife. the dealer was ready for us to leave.

i traded in a 2007 limited 4runner with 56k every option but nav for 24600 in bay area.

the 2011 has everything and was worth it for the price and miles.

i think 39-40 is a good price for the LE version.

i ended up getting 3.2 % finacing also through toyota.

No good will come from debating with Sputnik so I'm done here. :ybrick:

Kiloil,

After looking thru the list of options/accessories you posted i still feel it's not a bad deal.

good luck with your decision :hatsoff:

I appreciate the comments/suggestions and I have secured a transaction for less than previously noted, with 7% State Tax and .5% County Tax. This includes all ancillary fees as well.

No point of debating with people that like paying msrp, I have other places to put my hard earned money then to fork it over to car salesmen

Congrats Kiloil!! :reddance:

Post up some pics when you get a chance would love to see em.

May be a little late but I got mine around $500 over dealer price. 2011 LE 4x4 with Nav and Sliding tray. Special ordered it from a hungry salesman who was motivated to make a sale.

You will love your new rig. I traded my 20's for stock SR 5 rims. So far I've put Huskys and LEDs. Duratracs and a Gobi rack are the next mods to be done.

Congrats!!

2012 Toyota Limited 4x4 MSRP was 43,386
-Convience package
-3rd row
-Floor Mats, cargo mat
-Navi backup camera
- 2 year free maintenance
and all the other limited standard items

$39378 OTD + $800 for doc and other fees + Tax

Does that sound like a bad price? I thought I got a good deal till I started looking close at the numbers.

Seems like a good price. Where are you located? In the northwest we are paying 40582(includes all fees, but no tax) for a vehicle with an MSRP of 43330. I called all of the dealers in the nearby states and ended up finding the best price in Idaho. When I asked a Seattle dealer to beat this price he said that he would have no problem selling the vehicle at a $1000 higher than the Idaho dealer. We also waited about 2 months to get the specific vehicle we wanted. We pick it up tomorrow!

I just took delivery of mine on Monday...2012 Limited 4x4 with sliding Cargo Deck, Roof Rack Cross Bars, Carpet Floor Mats, and JBL 15 Speaker Stereo with 7" NAV. I paid $39,500 plus a $799 dealer fee.

Hope this helps!
