Prices for Magnaflow cat back installed?

I called around and talked to about 6 different shops today for quotes on getting a Magnaflow muffler cat back (with tailpipe) installed and they varried between $220 - $300.

Just curious to what others have paid for the same setup having an exhaust shop do all the work.

Also, a few of the shops recommended Flo Pro mufflers over the Magnaflow. Said its basically built the same as a Magnaflow. Anyone know anything about these?

I paid 80 for my muffler and then 150 for installation and tip. you didnt get a bad quote.

i think the magnaflows are better (they are a name brand, you know)

installing should be $80 an hour at a midas or big name place

where do you want to start the pipe- seriously using a saws all or even a hack saw,maybe a wheel grinder will pop the bolts free- then ya just need a new gasket, and 3 nuts/bolts with springs and anti-seize - hang with rubber hangers before bolting together viola'

if someone is quoting a price on instal - next shop! it should be a 1-1.5 hour job to drop and replace parts so 80-120 tops + cost of your parts imho =)

all you need is a muffler if your pipes are in good shape

I was quoted on replacing the piping from the cat to the muffler, the muffler (with 18" Magnaflow), and tailpipe section.

The exhaust is original with 166k on it so while its still intact and hole free, its seen better days.

wow really ? mines got darn near 200k and it looks perfect its spent all its life here in oregon though
