Prices paid on a TE recently?

What made the deal sweeter was I was offered $19K for my 2006 SE 4R with 62K. I felt this was very good based on the listings for similar trucks on autotrader in my area(plus saving the taxes).

I'm curious how that transaction played out. Seems like a very good deal.

I have a 07' Sport coming off lease in March, so any input about dumping one car and getting another would be appreciated.

No, we had bought the 2006 out from the lease in the fall. Although, with a leased vehicle(we have done this in the past), you can sell it outright to anyone and have them buy it straight from the leasing company(Toyota in this case) and then the buyer pays the taxes, not you. We used to do this when the 4runner's had even better resale. For example, at the end of three years, the buyout may be $18K, we would list it in the paper for maybe $20K and the buyer buys it from the leasing company and we pocket the $2K. In fact we probably would have done it this way again but did not know at the time. Again this only works if you can sell the car for more than the lease buyout Why turn in the leased car if you can make $2K!!!

I almost swapped the stock tires for the Revos but they would only credit me $300 for the stock tires and wanted an additional $400 to upgrade. I guess I am stuck with the Bridgestone duelers, I hope they are better than my last Dunlaps.

do you mean the dealer would only credit you $300 for the stock tires? i.e., you were considering having the dealer upgrade the tires from the get-go?

Well sort of. The dealer was working the offer through a near by tire shop. I ended up passing up the offer due to financial reasons...I already spent enough on the 2010

gotcha. i'm considering doing the same thing: having the dealer handle a tire swap/upgrade pre-delivery. and i'm interested in getting the seat-heaters added, too.

No problem! Swapping the tires before delivery is definitely the best move financially if you need different tires. I really would have liked to but in reality I don't need them per say, its more for looks and those handful of times it will go offroad in a year. On a related note, I must say the 2010 drives much better than my past two 4 Gen's. After driving my 2003 and 2006 for a combined 7 years, I can say the 5th gen feels more solid, less body roll, and less creaks, rattles. Other than missing just a tad of that bottom end torque from the last V8, it goes just fine.

Just over $36K for TE, with KDSS and convenience package. I bought a set of Nittos and the dealer gave me $200 for the Bridgestones...I am happy with the deal. I am un happy about the taxes I paid, though.

Correct. No Nav. They wanted $38.5K with Nav and I already have multiple GPS devices.

$38.5k is what I paid back in February for a March delivery before I added in the remote start. I guess they must still be selling fairly well. I expected to be on the high end when the new inventory started to roll off the boats in a month or two.

I have a TE KDDS + NAV on order (FE CP KD ND TE CF order codes). $37417 + ttl. Before anyone asks, the reason for ordering was they do not exist in red around here.

Yeah I think I did OK. I did the internet quote thing though the various local dealers, after some back and forth with a few of them I got that price. Probably could have gone lower if I tried harder.

Good choice on color. Blue was my first choice but for whatever reason my wife had a thing against it, so #2 red it was. Either way I would have had to order.

I'm on order as well, because our "region" does not get NAV on Trails. Mag Grey, KDSS + NAV 37152. Should arrive in a few weeks.

That's a good deal compared to others in the thread. I live in L.A. and have seen as low as 700 under. More dealers competing leads to lower prices in this area. I have noticed that they start with 500 over invoice and will easily go to invoice and under if you ask. There seems to be a ton of black limiteds on the lots in L.A.

One thing the sucks is the fact that our area does not get SR5s with leather or Limiteds without 3rd row. I see limiteds 7 to 1 over SR5s on the streets.

I'm guessing based on your quote, that it is a limited RWD with Nav, 3rd row and extras (cargo cover, mats, wheel locks, etc.)? Which dealer offered you 300 under?
