problem w/ K&N intake

Hey guys, just installed my K&N 'CAI', part number 63-9023, on my 04 SR5 V6. Of course its louder than stock when I hammer the gas but thats expected. my problem is that now the vsc, trac, and check engine lights are lit up. Can anyone give me some suggestions as to how to solve this problem or why these lights are lit up??

couple ideas come to mind....first, if you installed it yourself, did you check all the sensor connections??

also, in my experience, the computer is pretty finicky when it comes to the air intake etc. my 3rd gen was cutting throttle whilst driving sometimes for the first week i had just a K+N filter in to replace the stock. give it some time and should resolve itself.
Or just reset the computer...disconnect your battery for a half hour or so then re connect it...it'll reset everything.

thanks for the fast reply Dave, I just made sure the connections are tight and i unplugged the negative on my battery so it'll be reset like you said in about a half an hour. I'll get back to you tomorrow with an update, hopefully those lights will go away!!

yea, just drive it around for a few days and it should get itself in check. if its driving fine, and it's not cutting off or anything, it's prob. just somethin goin on with a sensor. should be ok. all ya can do it just make sure everything is as tight as it should be and ur not suckin' junk into ur intake.

Yup, its working great! i unplugged the negative on the battery for about an hour and that took care of the problem. no more lights! the intake sounds mean. Its loud if i really stomp on the pedal but for just regular cruising it sounds like a throaty V8. Recommend to anybody looking for a little better performance. Better throttle response, maybe a little quicker and definitely a joy to drive!
