Productive Day--Multiple Mods Done

Due to some nice weather today, I accomplished installation of:
1) IBS Dual battery system with Optima Yellow Top in Blue Torch Fab tray
2) ARB Fridge wiring loom to constant-on receptacle
3) ARB Fridge installation on sliding tray with ARB tie downs
4) Hella triple tone air horn upgrade

Once I get the chance to test everything out for a while I will post my impressions of each of these. Also more mods to come.

Of course I expected this response, but my camera was not available to document the actual installation. I will be happy to take pictures of how it looks now when I can do so in adequate light. The IBS so far is doing a great job and the horn upgrade came in handy twice today due to too many people with FADS. I won't say what "F" and "A" stand for to avoid controversy, but D=driver and S=syndrome.

Since I am used to skepticism in my regular work, I shouldn't let this get to me--you guys make it seem like doing a few simple mods is like doing a pancreaticoduodenectomy (don't bother asking if you don't know). Regardless,
the pictures attached show proof of my accomplishments. First you see the IBS box and the included 4 gauge wire. The next shot shows the Optima yellow top battery installed in front of my aFe cold air intake in a Blue Torch Fab tray. The IBS isolator is installed on the side wall behind the aFe and is linked to the controller I currently have sitting loose in the glovebox. The last pic is a mounted sticker that reflects my general attitude.

More proof for you demanding basturds (Note to moderator--it isn't a bad word and I spelled it wrong anyway :biggrin2. The first pic shows the Hella Triple Tone air horns where the original horns used to be behind the grill--I'm not pulling it apart for a better picture. I had to make a basic bracket to install this, but it was no big deal. The pump is mounted to the side using an existing hole and I wired it by plugging into the existing harness. The second picture shows the ARB power receptacle (I think it is a Powerlet socket) installed above the factory receptacles. I ran it from the battery through the passenger side under my Husky floor mats to the rear where I drilled two small holes to install it. The last picture is the fridge mounted on the sliding tray on top of my Husky bedliner and attached at the front with the ARB fridge mounts--I didn't drill anything--I just used the existing attachment points at the edge of the tray.

Nothing wrong with your 4r buddies razzin' you a bit. Besides, those of us who DO know just call it a Whipple. :whip2: Anyway....good job. Electrical mods scare me.

Nice mods. Did you have to relocate the p/s fluid and AC with your blue torch fab box? Or was it able to squeeze in on the side there? I've had the IBS system sitting around for a few months now, trying to figure out a good layout for the second battery.
