Puddle warrior to off road warrior

Can you tell the specs on the springs you bought? I bought the exact same Bilstein 5100s you did, but plan on going with Tundra springs in the front and the LC 7 wraps in the rear. How much did you lift, hows the ride, and any rake?

I used the ome springs on mine. Mine is a 3" lift. It's a slight rake.

Good looking rig.
Smart, taking care of basic maintenance before modding.

Thanks

Nice truck:cheers:! But what about the Civic hatch I see lurking in the garage?
I sold a built DC2 Integra (LS/V GSR conversion) to get my T4R, I miss it everytime I take a corner now lol.

It's a 93 cx with a d16y8 swap. Nothing crazy. Had a lot of plans for it but will probably trade it or sell it.

Awesome, really like where this is going.
Interested on your Horizontal LESs under the headlights. Can you discuss more about them? Purpose, brand, etc? I ordered something similar.

That 4runner is not mine. I believe they were used for daytime running lights.

Not a big update. Decided my rack needed to resprayed. I used the bed liner in a can. Over all I say it turned out good. Should be durable to throw anything in there that I want and not ruin the finish.

Well its been about a year since I last posted. I was in Korea, so the 4runner got no love. I am out in Colorado now. So if there are any guys on here around the springs wanting to meet up and hit some trails LMK. I ordered some parts while I was gone. Will throw up some cell phone pics for now to bring this thread back to life. Will dig out the DSLR soon to take some proper pics.

Parts that I ordered.

Unpacked

I know there are cheaper ISR deletes. Got a good deal on it.

Picked up a few things at 4wheelparts.

At the top of Pikes Peak.

I like how you ditched the aftermarket steep for stock, I don't like the new look of stereos in old rigs. One of my favorite mods so far is Metallica ride the lightning on cassette.

The truck is looking awesome! Nice that the duratracs worked out pretty cheap out of pocket.

I see you dig AV brewery?

Big update. Got the lift kit installed and diff drop. I posted my other wheels and tires on Craigslist and a guy gave me $450 for them and got some new tires put on my new wheels. They are 265/75 16 Goodyear Duratrac's. Only had to come out of pocket $330 for the new tires.

Never heard of it until you said something. My wife got me that sticker from a thrift store. I thought it was really funny. Thanks for the info. Want to check out some of that beer.

Its not that I didn't like it. The usb hook up was nice. With the brightness turned all the way down it was still so bright. Was hard to see out of the windshield at night. I only paid $40 for the factory one and got $75 for mine so it worked out good on my end.

BIG UPDATE

I did some maintenance that was well overdue. Figured out what the squeaking noise was. My front ball joint was totally gone. OEM ball joints and Moog outer tie rods.

Picked this up today for $500. Really excited. 4.30 E-locker complete axle with matching front clamshell. Need to figure out if I am going to source the factory body harness or make my own. Anyone who has done there own please chime in for advice.

Finally got around to swapping out my axles and doing the retrofit. That front clamshell is hell to swap out. All in all it took about 8 hours with the help of a few friends. The end result was worth it.

Started getting together my tundra brake upgrade. I plan on getting a shrockswork bumper so I thought this was needed. Also picked up the rear extended brake line from Toytec. Got OEM rotors and autzone reman 13WL calipers. WOW!!! These calipers are massive.

Few pics from a recent camping trip.

I know updates have been slow but this has been the money pit lately.

Me and my wife picked this up for her.

what did you end up doing for the harness for the e-locker? i got the exact same deal, but i'm dreading the front, and haven't decided on how to wire. I'm really leaning towards the lowrangeoffroad.com harness, and bypass factory wiring.

since you have had the springs on for a while now. what do you think about the ride they give you? have been thinking of going with the ome lift. thanks, jesse

I used sprinkler wire from lower because it is shielded. When i bought the locker the guy had the pig tail from the locker actuator and ecu. That was a big help. I was going to go the low range route but it was actually cheaper just making my own wiring. Here is my diagram that I copied from BigFishAllDay.

I think it still rides as good since I first installed them. The ride is firm but not harsh. I have no complaints at all with this setup. Down the road I thought about upgrading to Fox or Icon shocks. Hands down best setup for the money.

I did this 3rd member swaps and elocker mod as well.Took quite a bit of time, but sooooo worth it. I however, didn't go through the factory ECU or Switch. I just build my own harness from the diff up to the switch. Worked out well, though I put 4.88's in while I had them out, Im very glad that I did.

Yesterday was productive. Finally got my SS brake lines from wheelers and did my tundra brake upgrade. Pretty straight forward. What a huge size difference in the rotors and calipers. Big reasons for the upgrade. 1 the stock 4runner brakes are not the best. 2 i plan on getting a shrockworks bumper soon. A lot of extra weight on the front end.

All of the pieces to the puzzle

Wheelers was nice enough to send me some Halloween candy with my order.

Just a picture for people who are curious how much longer the extended brake line is vs stock.

Time for an update. I finally pulled the trigger and bought be a bumper. I really wanted the Shrockworks bumper. For the price and with a winch for cheaper its a no brainer. I am waiting for the next shrockworks group buy to get some sliders.
Only took 9 days from order placed and shipped to my house. The bumper did not come with hardware or stickers. Called them up and hand the hardware and stickers to me in 2 days. Props to CBI for awesome shipping and great customer service.

The bumper/ winch arrived.

Unpacked. Looking good.

Good days work.

All torn down.

Trans cooler installed.

More updates to come.
