putting leather seats in 03 4R, disconnect the battery?

I'm currently in the process of adding leather and heated seats to my 03 SE 4Runner. It looks like the pass seat has an OOPS ssr.

My question is, if I disconnect the battery, so I dont set off a the airbag warning light, will I trip the alarm when I reconnect the battery? Does it have to be reset by the dealer if it does?

Or, do I leave the battery connected and just disconnect the connections under both seats? Then doing this will maybe set off the airbag warning light.

I was under the impression that the 03 4Runners didnt have the weight ssr. Only 04 and up.

Basically, what happens when I disconnect the battery?

trip the alarm? i haven't seen an alarm trip because of disconnecting the battery before.. i didn't know alarms were programmed to do that?

I didn't disconnect the battery when I installed my leather. I even drove around with the passenger seat removed and disconnected. As long as you don't have side airbags it should be fine.

Some alarms are tripped when you disconnect the battery and reconnect again. It's been a while since I've had to disconnect mine, so I don't remember. If it goes off when you reconnect the battery, just hit your remote button, usually the unlock button does the trick. Your settings may need to be reset. Anytime you disconnect the battery, you'll need to reset your driver's window, the tailgate window and the moonroof AUTO functions.

EDIT: Not sure if you should disconnect the battery when installing heated seats though it's probably a good idea.
