If you want to be preventative, you could replace this every 60k or so. This valve DOES get clogged and will fail because of this. This will cause extra pressure to build up inside the engine which will cause some or ALL the seals to leak on the engine. Keep in mind, this usually gets clogged because of oil gunk build up due to infrequent oil changes.

When you do remove it just shake it. If you hear something clicking (sliding up and down) then its still good.

In the late 90s and early 2000s this was a big issue for toyota, But they have since redesigned things and its not so much of an issue any more.

Thank you. You're correct about pressure build up had the PCV clogged and its sub-sequences. This is why I started the thread.

I just needed to know what the general consensus are and base on what I have known now, it is not urgent and probably replace it in the Spring when the weather is more favorable.
