Q for you V8 owners?

I switched mine over to synthetic in teh fall (new to me in Nov. bought it with 45k, now have 54k)

I also have stock sized tires but more aggressive and probably heavier (Coope Disco ATR's).

I still get my best MPG on long backroads, 45-50 mph, few stops, I can easily get my on-board to 20-21. I can't get it over 18 on the highway though. (actual calculations run about 1-1.5 lower). Week-to-week mixed driving, per tank my on-board is generally between 16 and 17. A bit higher in summer then now when it's so cold.

{shrug} I don't mind... I went from a regular 28mpg Accord to this so 15 or 17 really isn't much difference... I'm loving driving it, great truck and unless gas hits $5+/gal. I'm not worried about it.

'04 V8 here. Getting 17.9 MPG hand calculated around town and over 22 MPG on the highway with 87 octane. Drop in K&N, stock Dueler H/Ts with 32 PSI. Of course I live in Florida so when I hit the highway I am not climing up and down hills or mountains. I drive about 75 on the interstate and drive with a tender foot around town. Say what you want, but I'd bet if you keep up on maintenance and live in Florida you'd get similar mileage.

Oh I believe you guys, not saying you don't get what you get, just saying I am so far off of that here in the Green Mountain State that I can't imagine what I could do to get my numbers that high.

Basically, I'm jealous.

I need to specify that I only get 20 mpg when I do over 95% highway, AND in the summer (that's usually when I drive 360 miles in one trip).

During my regular daily "highway" commute, I get 17 to 18 mpg on average (85% highway, 15% in town).
