I apologize if this has been answered already on the forum, but will a factory JBL head unit from a 4th gen work in a non-JBL 4th gen? I want to put a sirius capable factory head unit in my '04, and I don't have the JBL system.
I'm thinking that it will not work. The JBL systems have different wiring because all of the sound distribution is handled by the stock amp (which is non existent in your case). You may be able to do it, as long as you know how to correctly hard-wire the headunit. You won't be able to use factory harnesses so it'll take some wire snipping to get it done. Good Luck
