Question about mpg!

Wow, guys I never expected this to turn into an MPG poll, but so far, i think i'm getting pretty good distance from what everyone is saying.
I think part of my annoyance is that we Canadians pay a bit more for gas than you folks in the States. For every litre of fuel, it costs me 1.10$, so basically 4.11$/gallon where as your average right now is about 2.6 dollars a gallon!

Hey when canadians butt into every countries affairs and wipe out isis leader you too can have cheaper gas prices.
Our SF and Rangers kick down doors so we can get cheaper gas.
BTW it depends where in the states .. Check out California gas prices.. Its about the same.

We're Canadian, we're "nice" and prefer to negotiate over tea and maple syrup. If that won't do it, we just pay you to do it for us...which is why we pay more for gas. We supply it, you refine it, and we buy it back. lol

Took a trip to Canada last year woth a few buddies ....we got so excited when we saw 1.40 on the board for gas, then we realised it's by the litre ......I wanted to shoot my self 75$ later lol ...and Canada should stay nice ....it gives people from 'murica to run when [emoji90] hits the fan .....OOORR just because you guys are nice and awesome all the time lol

Not bad for a 4x4 that weighs what these do. Not bad at all.
I remember when my truck is new, I used to get around 20-21 mpg, hand calculated if you know what I mean.
i'm still trying to figure it out why my mpg is 17-18. now, i'm going for it since I've read that your ECT sensor could go bad overtime and not pop any codes. i'm replacing my ECT sensor this weekend and see if it will improve my MPG. see what happens.

WOW - either I drive like an A-Hole or something is wrong with my car. I do have the v8, but I am only getting about 230 miles to a tank. My computer reads only about 12.7 mpg for most tanks and my manual calculations confirm that reading (by and large).
I do tend to do about 85% city driving and I work very close to home so the car might not get to full operating temperature. I do have one set larger tires, so my mileage is off by about 3%.
Even still, that means about 13mpg. Is there any common known issue that might cause bad fuel mileage I should check?

I get 13.5 average with 35" tires and half/half city and highway. City driving kills your mileage!
Make sure air filter is good. If you have lots of miles on the plugs you could do those, but honestly with city driving you won't get very good mileage. Our car only gets like 15-18 city. If we're lucky.

Love my runner and her V-8! Lifted, larger tires (265/70/17), roof rack and I still averaged 18.6 MPG (according to comp in car) for the 147 mile round trip up US-6 and I-70 to Breckenridge and back with the whole fam damily today!!!! Great day skiing even though it was 48 degrees when we left!!!!
