Question about the limited

I trade it my limited for an Sr5 last week. I actually like the sr5 better. Limited felt like a tank it was to heavy and acceleration suck. Also the gas mileage i was getting on city was horrible. I really didnt like how the limited drive. Love my sr5 just my 2 cents

1) whole topic comment: like everyone else, test drive what you want. I came from a late model 5 series bmw with the sport package: so my opinion is that the limited is great. not too hard, not too soft. It compares to an older bmw x5 i had, also with sport package.

2) I'm one who buys cars the way i like them. I dont want to throw a bunch of extra $$ in to a 40k car cause i should have chosen something else. If you are a modder then you are going to mod anyway. Get cheap and mod away. If you want comfort and good suv handling from the beginning get the limited.

3) finally, my comment on the above comment: it accelerates like a tank?

Of course it does if you feather the gas pedal while in eco mode. Turn off eco mode and put your foot in it. It has plenty of power. Its 20hp shy of my last porsche. It has more torque than the explorer. and i personally think i can outrun any tank on the planet. ;)

And anyway, the difference in acceleration between a limited and SR5 would not be perceptible with such a little weight difference.

I am pretty (100%) sure that turning off eco mode just deactivates the green driver coaching light on the dash.

When it comes to my limited, if I hammer the gas its going places without a doubt. The transmission kills my momentum though because it doesn't transition smoothly enough between gears at WOT. If I could get this car with a stick I could finesse some nice power out of it.

Believe me it is noticeable the sr5 feels a lot lighter. Don't get me wrong it's a nice vehicle but I like the way the sr5 drives way better just my 2 cents. Good luck either way
