I liked the Falken Wildpeak on our old 3rd Gen. They were P rated. Check out tire buyer.com and combine with Rakuten rebate. I think it’s still 3%?

Falken Wildpeaks

New to this 4Runner Forum! I have a 2020 Land Cruiser HE and I just got the wife the 2021 4Runner Venture Edition and we drove it back to Colorado from Fargo ND last week. Really happy with the purchase. After reading the threads here I was between the BFG KO2 and The Falken Wildpeaks. Went with the Falkens cause the wife said everyone had the KO2 and that's what she wanted. I will update with pics soon. So far very pleasant on the freeway and side streets. We do some legit off roading in the summers up here in the mountains so I'm looking forward to breaking them in in a few weeks. Ceramic Tint going on this Friday and fingers crossed on some Slee Sliders in 2 weeks from the Slee HQ here in Golden. They are supposed to be ready. Happy to have a 4Runner and I look forward to participating in the Forums. --Miles

Kumho

I've been running the Kumho Road Venture AT 51s for about 30k and they are holding up well. I chose them over the BFGs because they have the mountain/snowflake symbol and rated better for snow, which is a thing here.
They were also very well priced on Tire Rack when I ordered them. Not the most aggressive tire out there for sure, but they get it done and are reasonably quiet on the highway too.

Just got 275/70r17 Wildpeaks on my stock ORP on Friday. Took them on a 100 mile interstate run and a couple of mild trails and I LOVE them. Haven’t had the others so I can’t compare, but I was pumped they were no louder than the Dunlop’s that came standard.

Just got 275/70r17 Wildpeaks on my stock ORP on Friday. Took them on a 100 mile interstate run and a couple of mild trails and I LOVE them. Haven’t had the others so I can’t compare, but I was pumped they were no louder than the Dunlop’s that came standard.

Can you feel the weight of the 275? I think those tires weight around 58lbs. each.

Hi All

Good evening...!

So my wife's daily driver, a 2018 ORP, has reached 50K+ miles now and I would need to replace the tires. I had it installed with BFG T/A K02 from the dealer when we bought it new... Thus am looking for comparable alternatives.

We do a light to medium off-roading and/or overlanding a couple of times per year, thus, maybe something for economical than a KO2...? Though price is not an extreme driver for the question; more of, what are the others out there?

Any LT tire would be overkill for so little use. So an SL/P-metric Toyo AT III or Wildpeak would be my choice.

If LT is needed because that little offroading involves nasty sharp rocks, then a lighter, road-friendly LT like the Toyo or Firestone options would be a good choice.

Mine are 56 and I thought I would hate the weight but I barely feel it. There is a very minimal impact on performance, never bothers me.

The stiff suspension works great with them. A stock suspension will likely struggle with the weight offroad.

Can anyone comment on how a 275/55R20 BFG would perform on-road for a stock 4Runner? No intent of going off road / flexing suspension, just want a more aggressive look.
