quick tire opinions please!

So I got my Daystar lift on and the 285 bug bit me. Discount said they would buy back my tires at full price paid so I can swap. Should I swap? If so, the same geolanders are $200 more. The duratracs are $600 more. Which should I do? Thanks guys!

Duratracs for $400????? I'm all about the deal although I have no idea what you already paid for tires. Is there a rebate on the Goodyears?

Geolanders are actually $100 more, the duratracs are 480 more. I already paid $600 or so for my current tires.

I'd vote Geolander. Much better suited than Duratrac to being run year round in a hot region.

I went with the geolanders again. I can change my mind and get duratracs within 30 days where had I started with the duratracs I had no trial period. I'm pumped, 130 otd plus my old tires and I'm in the 285 club lol

In a 285/70/17 for a DuraTrac tire, that is about right. I paid $1100.00 from discount tire but got the warranty with them.

T4R looks good w/your Geolanders. Surprised that the Duratracs are that expensive but I guess it is what it is....you have to pay to play!

Thanks man! Ya, it just wasn't worth the extra money to me for the Duratracs. They look great, but the extent of my offroading is Forest Service roads so its overkill. Look is better I am sure, but the increased noise and wear isnt worth look for me.

Yea, that's the price installed from Goodyear in Dallas. Checked on the today.

I was debating the same thing. Ended up getting KM2's.

Sorry if a tad off topic and thread jackish....for you guys looking for tires, discounttiredirect.com. tirecrawler.com has them for a lower price, just use that link for discounttire directs thing if you find it lower, and they'll match the price, or beat it. I just bought a set of Km2's for our diesel and with warrantee (in the 265 E load range) i paid right at 1k. Discount tire direct also does free shipping via UPS.

They were new still. I had around 8k on them. They were actually quite impressive on and off the road. I have no complaints in mud, dry desert, rain, etc. Great tires for the money.
