I personally would black something out like the door handles or the flares to offset the beautiful Land Cruiser beige.

I think wheels and the duratracs will set it off. We'll see! Is LC beige the same paint code as QS? What year was it?

Exactly... too much effort for some wheels. They obviously don't care about fulfilling the demands there are on product sale. They're either purposefully creating a supply issue or they're too small of a company to meet the demands. Regardless, it's frustrating for potential customers.

I got the Tacoma kit, it was incredibly easy to install, took maybe a half hour. Just had to drill one hole in each fog pocket and then connect everything up. If you want the exact part number for the kit, let me know.
I have the Squadron Pro lights, and they put out a TON of light. I have the mixed flood and spot lens, so it throws a low-wide beam and then a spot down the road.
That said, if I was going to do it again, I might use the Squadron Sport lights. I pretty much cannot use my lights on the road if anyone else is around because they're too bright. My friend at Baja Designs uses the Sports and he can run them full time. Ultimately, I guess the choice depends on what you want to use them for. I wanted them for off road use only, so I'm good.
You can see where I had to drill a new hole further back in the fog pocket to mount the Baja Designs lights. I then sprayed the whole pocket black.
Interested in how you were able to mount them. Not alot of fog light options for our Generation..

I used this kit from Baja Designs: LINK
Short version: I removed the stock fog lights, I drilled a new hole about 1 1/2" back from the inner hole (which you can see in the picture above), then mounted the new lights in the fog light pockets. As you can see from the link above, the kit comes with two black plates to mount the lights to. Each plate has two "ears" that are 90 degree bends. You use bolts to secure the plates (with the lights attached) in place.
I'll do a write up this weekend and post it up here in the 4th Gen section.

Interesting that the 32" Duratrac looks so much taller than the 31.9" Geolandar. A few 32nd's for wear and the truck's weight prob account for the difference? Duratracs are .8" narrower and 2lbs lighter. Can't wait!

I almost bought a 2nd gen off a buddy of mine and was going to paint it the same color. I really like the quicksand. was going to pair it with some white steelies for a retro look. your truck looks real clean though. I like how you did the grille and the side mirrors too. what kind of rack you going to put on it?

The 255's are legit. They are a little louder than I expected based on reviews but I love them and it suits the truck well I think. Louder than my Geolanders (faint noise) and much quieter than the BFG MT's (loud). Such a subjective thing..hard to anticipate until you hear it.

I was talking to the guy at america's tire getting everything mounted (he had a 3rd gen). I feel like there less love for the 2nd gen than any other gen. Is that true or is it just me? I have 2nd gen love, my step-mom had a grey one. I've had a 3rd gen too..

Tim, the wheels look good! What offset did you get? I want 17x8.5 next too your poke looks good, except I have 265/70/17. I like how the 255's look, I'd go for them too except that's a rarer size in most tires and I got a deal on the Nitto Terra Grapler G2, good tire, not too loud either.

Thanks! I'm loving them. Specs are 17x8.5" -6mm offset (4.5" backspacing) 6x139.7 PCD. Same specs for [MENTION=85422]FNWheels[/MENTION] Overlander and Five Star I think. Dustin feel free to jump in if you're watching. And thanks for dealing with my OCD and helping me find the right specs!
I was a little nervous about 255's on 8.5's but it's within manufacturer recs and I think it came out great

Can't speak for the 255s, but the Duratracs are great in the sand. Mine are 285s. Went to Pismo a few weeks ago, aired down to 20 psi, no issues. Color looks great BTW.
