I am about to disconnect my battery to erase the memory form the previous slow driver then drive it like a turbo 911 for the half tank of gas. Do I need a code for the radio or GPS? Its a 2010 llimited. Where do I fine that info?
Is it the stock radio?Never heard of a code for the stock radio or GPS and I disconnected my battery 100 times. I havn't had my stock radio in for a couple of years but if I remember right it just sets it back to stock and you have to redo your presets.
Now , my aftermarket Pioneer has an anti theft code that I set that has to be reset every time I disconnect the battery or disconnect it. The oem radio/nav doesn't have anti theft and why thieves would rather target them.
Harper7, do you have all of the functions of the steering wheel controls with the pioneer? If so or not what model did you go with? How hard was the change out?
Thanks, Keith
Yes, all functions of the steering wheel controls work with the Axxess AWSC I used .It would be different for you though with a SR5. I had the JBL nav and still use the factory amp as it is seperate from the HU,unlike the others. The changeout was not easy for me as I'm used to just rewiring a complete system from scratch rather then using adapters and tapping into the factory harnesses.
The hack for using all functions while driving was super easy on the Pioneers but my Z120 is 3 years old now and havn't researched what's available now.The Pioneer forums is where to look. Here is the post where I installed it.....http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/61082-aftermarket-stereo-5.html#post576253
Quick question. Does that include the steering wheel phone controls (pickup, hang up and volume)?
