Radio Problem! Help?

So the problem I have is that I am not getting very good reception at all times because the antenna has been broken off very close to the bottom. So what I am wondering is how to replace it? I know I can buy the new mast and feed it in but the second problem is that the OEM radio has been replaced! That means it wont feed up and down right? Can I still replace the mast and leave it without the power feature?

Whip

Replace with a whip antenna from earlier model 4runner/Tacoma and not even worry about a motorized antenna.
You can find instructions and part numbers all over this forum. Took me 2 hours to swap mine with taking the fender off.

Thanks guys, ill try one of these! Ill let you know how it works. Quick question though. If you have a stock or aftermarket radio does the mast still go up and down?
