the wire diagram they give you after you setup, its very detailed, usually a 3wire hook up, plug the pos and neg wires, then plugs in the radio, you can program the keys to do certain things, try the demo they do on idatalink maestro site. i gave up on the metra due to problems for me.

I just ordered mine yesterday. It would be nice to pop my Pioneer back in and get it working.

Single Din Kenwood and an almost single din Uniden CB. Wouldn't believe what it takes to squeeze all that in there much less get the Uniden to have factory color lights.

I thought I would include a pic of the radio and cb at night. It doesn't look like it in the picture, but the radio and cb match the factory dash color pretty closely.
I had to disassemble the cb radio ond use LED film to get the color right.

'05 JBL powered E7005 stock nav to Pioneer AVIC-5200NEX via PAC PAC RP4.2-TY11

Hi all, after frantically searching through a hundred threads on here last night about all the various stock configurations out there, and staring at 3 vehicle harnesses with no connectors along with like a million unused PAC harnesses, all I had to do was cut a few wires and got this installed today - everything's up and running except the factory backup cam - waiting on a cheap harness to arrive.

I couldn't find a wiring diagram for '05 (and even if I did, apparently they used 2 different JBL Nav's that year so it might not've been right) but I deduced that a gray 5-pin, 3-wire harness in the back of my old HU contained the three dreaded Reverse, Parking Brake and VSS wires, so I lucked out that they were there for me but would've thought an expensive interface would've had a plug for them. I just cut it off and wired them direct to the Pioneer, working great. It was...challenging to fit all those wires and the interface back there, I'm dreading taking it out when the camera cords come... But for now, it's pretty and the sound is above and beyond my expectations.

Apple carplay is ok for music/phone, but for an expensiveish unit I'm disappointed there's not easier video inputs (like USB/hdmi - apparently the 6200's+ have HDMI and had I researched, probably would've ponied up $100 more.

Can't wait to get into the menus and customize everything, all I've done so far is change the lights to match the orange interior. Still need to find a permanent spot for the mic, install the second set of steering controls for bluetooth (the radio ones are working great), hook up the cam and sell the E7005. :trophy:

Installed Tuff Protector screen protector on my DDX374BT. Not scratching that baby. Anyway, accidentally ended up with 2 complete packs. Posted the unopened package in the classifieds section. Also fits the 373bt.

Anyone replaced the stock JBL HU with navigation and factory backup camera? Just wondering how easy it is to get the factory camera to work with an aftermarket HU? Plug and play? Interface required?

we have different model years, if you check the crutchfield website you can find one to fit yours. the one used in my install was Model: RP4.2-TY11SKU: 4972400 by PAC radiopro. if you're going to do it yourself, crutchfield is your best bet, I used bestbuy cause I don't have a garage and didn't wanna wait till spring time.

I have a '03. I used Metra 70-8114 with ASWC-1 interface for my steering wheel controls. Agreed, Crutchfield has the best support. I had a Black Friday free head unit install at Best Buy so I sweet talked the guy into not charging me to hook up the steering wheel controls as long as programming wasn't involved. No programming.

Do you know how large a USB storage device it'll read from? I was looking at the same Kenwood head unit, they say it reads "mass storage" devices but not ho large.

I'm hoping it'd read a 500 gig solid state drive, so I'd have tunes for years.

I haven't tried reading from mass storage but I'll give it a try with my 500gb drive if I have a chance today.

Installer said no programming so I saved a little money on that install.

Installed a kenwood excellon ddx9903s and B/U camera today. I'm pretty happy with it. I was a pioneer guy but after playing around on the 9903s I decided to make the switch.

Too new to start my own thread however I am going to post my current problem with the hope of some help to resolve the issue.

I purchased a Pioneer AVH x2800 BS along with the PAC RP4.2-TY11 Radio Replacement Interface with the micro bypass and the USB adaptor recommended in the install guide.

Everything is hooked up correctly however only the rear speakers, stock sub and my aftermarket installed sub are working. Any suggestions or help with issue would be greatly appreciate!!
