Ran it out of gas- problems now!

No need to loosen anything. Should be a shraider valve on one of the fuel rails. With the key on, push the valve in to see if you have any fuel in the rail. No fuel means something is keeping the pump from starting. Maybe a special procedure in the manual about it.

I am going to go have some grape kool aid...the kind that comes in the little packets and does not require a ton of sugar. I bought a bunch at the Albertson's down the hill before they closed.

Well- like a complete IDIOT I pushed it too far today coming home from work and ran out of gas. I was super low on the way in this morning and meant to get it filled at work before leaving. Long day- I forgot. By the time I realized it and headed to the gas station it was too late.

Good thing is I was pretty close, so a quick call to a coworker and he towed me there with my strap. Filled it up- now it won't start. Cranks but no start. I disconnected the battery, checked fuses, all the normals...

Does anyone know if the fuel pump needs to be primed? Think I could have damaged it? I have run out of gas only once before in my S10 and it fired right back up.

WTF? I'm pretty pissed at myself right now!

I believed you for a time.........For Zero-point-six-eight seconds. For an android, that is nearly an eternity.

I think if you Blow the truck (Tail pipe) that causes a negative pressure vortex in the fuel/air mixture and the truck will start.
That's what I tell the wife at least on mornings when I can't get out of bed.:whoo:
