well I bought a 99 4runner a little over a month ago. had been lurking here for a few months finding out all kinds of good information. when I bought it I noticed on the 2 highest ac fan speeds, it had a hum and vibration. didn't really bother me, as the ac worked. figured it needed a new fan? maybe bearings worn out.
well I stop by my buddys house/shop today and talking to him. asked him about it, and he told me to drop the fan and check it. he said sometimes something will fall out of the glove compartment and mess with the fan. he also said to check it for rats nest. when I dropped the fan, I don't know how it was turning at all! holy crap :wow2: needless to say, it is running great now and a whole lot quieter. I will try and post a pic of it. jesse
