my wife and I just had our first child 5-17-16 so i think i may have to pass on this :(...
if anyone is in the york/lancaster area, i would love to get a few runs in at any local area.

thanks for setting this up and can't wait to see pictures.

Okay - I edited my original post to contain a list of confirmed and possible attendees. We can all meet at the check in/registration area. They have a big parking lot there - you'll see some pretty cool rigs I'm sure. On the RC website you can download the Membership Application form. Might not be a bad idea to do it ahead of time. I'll plan on getting there a little earlier than the 9AM I mentioned earlier. I'll be in a white 15 TEP. I'm looking forward to a good day on the trails, and meeting you guys.

If the group decides to try the North-East Property there is an additional $10.00 fee. So if membership is expired or new, it could be $55.00 or $65.00 (if adding the NE Property pass). Passengers of non-members would be $15.00 additional per person over 12 that also makes the passenger a member. Waivers need to be filled out and signed for everybody (parents sign for their kids).

Current members get away with just paying the $40.00 park fee and the $10.00 NE property fee (optional). Current member passengers over 12 are only $7.00 and don't have to become members.

The NE Property side has a really, really big Green level loop that goes around the perimeter of the whole property. Could be a nice warm up to get everyone comfortable with off-roading in their rig? And it has a nice, huge water hole to drive through to get a feel for the whole "water fording" experience!

I like your idea of hitting the NE side first as a warm up. Good starting off point.

Definitely not the right place to do the big "splash-down" entry! Or blast through at WOT!

Slow and steady to keep the bow-wake going down near that air-intake in the front side of the passenger wheel-well.
 
Me? My feet were dry while laughing my A$$ off. But it was a 4R (Billy's) that was saving a Jeep so all remained well in the universe.
 
No need for a guide. Go with a few of you and spot yourselves. You can download an app called Maplets and search for Rausch Creek. They have the trails on there and it will show you where you are. Stay on the green and you should have no issues. I'd meet up with you guys but have to pass on this weekend. Have fun!
 
Fair warning that after every winter and spring rains the 'greens' became much bluer. The good news is that they never update the maps or signs.

Also, afterwards make sure you guys really really wash your trucks. The black water there is very corrosive.

Its a great place so Have fun! We may be doing a Father's Day run.

We'll be in my 16 TEP Metallic grey. I'm cool with paying the extra 10 bucks to roll around the perimeter

We'll probably return to do the June 24 weekend- Yota off-road club thing I think.

Some advice: keep running boards on or remove them. Years ago on my 08, my boards became part of the landscape, trying to avoid that but if it might help protect the 4R I'll wear them.... Thanks[emoji1417]

I have had the running boards on during the 3 classes I took at RC4x4 from offload-consulting.

The last two (a 101 in June then a 201 in November 2015) did bang the steel hangers up pretty bad. The November trip put a nice big bump on the driver rear part. I took it of off when I got home and jumped on it to bend the aluminum board back to flat. Hangers are still a mess but totally functional and no one would know unless they looked underneath for them.

Even so I will keep them on as I would rather the running board get ruined before the rocker panel or doors. Also, I am in on the C4 Fabrications Group Buy which happens to end this Sunday May 29th for their sliders:

Btw my truck is as stock as you can get. I've never gone to an off road park before. So I'll be staying on the bunny trails this time around because I def do not want to damage my truck before I finish paying it off lol.

That's why I'm taking the 101 course lol. Mine is far from stock, but until I learn correctly how to look after my investment, I have no intention of pushing the limits just yet.
